Nah they lagged the rest of us also, pretty much lagged the whole match to hell and back. Then talked tons of shit about their cheating. I hate when they do that, why can't they just tuck their tail between their legs and disappear like a pro-cheater. Grrr!

This is the match here.
You'll see similar things in their other matches.

Users:

T3s I 3sHoT

Ep Damage
lNVlNCIBLE
ticeX88

They cleverly, placed 2nd in the following match. Apparantly nervous at the realization of "TJ" and the recon which we pointed out.. but their other games of the night consisted of similar cheating. Actually it looks like all they do is cheat mostly. So sad. What kind of enjoyment does this really bring anyone?

Get em LUKE!
Hammertime!!
(I messaged them a link to this post on xbox.com :lol)
Not to mention the fact that the dude who had 7000 exp, has pages and pages of games like this one.

They probably have alts anyways, like many you encounter in Team Slayer at high ranks.

I duno, they definitely put in some serious work into these accounts judging by their exp. At least this will potentially make them think twice next time they create an account to cheat.

Yeah, I was responding to the "GAF kids" comment. Didn't know if he was recruiting hands from a certain demographic or if the "elderly" were welcome too.

Easy now, Ancient of Days. No canes allowed at PAX.

For some reason I thought Vociferous was 40+, so it's strangely disconcerting to find he is only a few (four) years older than me.

Belle and Sebastien have this really great song:

Not as great as the song that comes after it on the album.

mmm the needler sure is a Nice weapon on Lone Wolves great for a quick couple of kills. I started playing Lone Wolves again there the other night and was doing crap till I started whoring the Hammer and Needler. Was very satisfying :lol

Definitely gonna be using it a lot more now. I want my 35 :D (Since it is impossible for me to get in Team Slayer for some messed up reason I have to play Lone Wolves to level up :( )

Funny story: I was matchmade in social slayer against kylej and for some reason I either was booted or dropped really quickly.

Yeah you were gone before the veto screen. It was 3v4 in that little lobby. I think it was shotty snipes on Narrows so you didn't miss much.

Umm am I the only non-General that while playing Team Snipers gets matched up with ONLY GENERALS every single game?

Sure, tell me to play Social Slayer, but it shouldn't be like this. Why should I constantly be matched up with people that are better than me? It's bullshit.

That's weird because I'm a general and hardly ever get matched with generals. :P

More info on what's going to be shown at PAX tonight maybe?
Hopefully not, we know exactly when some new stuff is going to be revealed (exactly a week) so there's really no need.

I hope it's even shorter and more cryptic to piss off the irrational and impatient.

I'm torn. I want more info now, because... well. I like info. At the same time shorter updates bring out the crazies at Bungie.net, and I do so love using that hammer.

Just got matched up with Louis Wu in BTB. He's got some freaking ninja skills, every time I was in a warthog turret the dude would dodge my shots, jumped over the hog, and assassinate me off it :lol

I had a pretty good game (nearly 30 kills) but of course I get matched up a team with 3 quitters and a guy who's -26. Lost by 7 kills :(

Holy crap, that was you? (And he lies - "every time" means "once, after I killed the guy like a billion times in straight-up BR battles". Seriously, dude, you outkilled me 8-4 on that one. And I'm guessing that my 4 had some help.)

I'd put this on GameVee, but I put a clip on last night, and it took more than 12 hours to show up. Here are downloadable clips:

(Same clip, just giving you your choice of formats)

So a couple of pages ago, there was a lot of hating on Cortana, as a level (with a few people throwing in some support). You might be interested to know that there are those at Bungie who feel the same way. (The same way as the haters, not the supporters. :) )

OOOh I had one of those on Zanzibar. It was one of my most rewarding hog kills in memory. Same setup as well, hog coming straight at me, I was 1 bullet from demise.

I agree'd with alot of the guys points as well. One of my biggest disappointments with the wrap up of halo3, that I'm suprised wasn't mentioned, was the lack of closure with gravemind. I mean he taunts us and is a major piece of the narrative throughout the whole game... And we never really have much of a face off with him. Would have been awesome if his giant tenticles would have been attacking you on the way out of the "Covenant" level, and he was talking 'mad shit' the whole time while you attempt your escape from the level. Maybe we could have to fight him outside (after the catwalk escape) and see his full form, in a giant vehicle battle where we previously fought those two scarabs - trying to clear a spot for our pelican pickup. I think this would have been a great time for either banshees vs. gravemind (banshees not getting nearly enough love in single player).. or guass hogs vs. gravemind. Could have been epic.

Gravemind could make a final reappearance on that cannonball run at the end of the game, his tentacles reaching up to grab your hog as you make the final jump onto the pelican. Some gravemind shit-talking during the trench run would jazz up the final bit as well (no slow motion convo's though - just talking while your driving).

Redeemed, Cortana officially sucks.

Ugh. Leave it to Bungie to completely fuck up my favorite play list.

Dude, did you play a lot the first week it was out? You might just be ranked high even though its invisible?

Thats about the only thing I can think of.

Besides the fact generals like to pair up and rape in Dbl Exp so they can hit Grade 4 or whatever. (Social Exp reward is fucking tard)

Nobody listens to Max. I'm not even sure why we let him talk to other people. Or use the internet.

...Anyway, I hated the key run in Halo 2 more than Cortana, personally.

Haha, man, those are the best ones... where the guys on the 'hog are rolling really slowly, so they have ten seconds to think about what's about to happen to them.
Yeah, that was beautiful. I can't remember if I ever posted it, but I got a kick out of this one:

http://www.gamevee.com/viewVideo/Halo_3/GeeVee/The_Perfect_Ending/542006

Last two kills in the game, to boot.

The key run? I must have blocked that out. :lol

Hated is such a strong word.

That run was one of the few places where I asked, "did you REALLY need to put that in?"

I didn't hate it, though, and in fact have had quite a bit of fun with it over the months, mostly in coop.

I found Cortana to be a slog. And video games should NEVER be a slog. (I'm not saying they never ARE - I'm saying they never SHOULD be.)

Edit: oops - I thought Shishka was talking about the final run in Halo 3. I'm not sure what the 'key run' actually WAS. :(

That's the name of the scenario with the floating platform you ride as the Arbiter. Brutes are nearby in a Phantom, and the Flood assault the platform as it travels.

Yeah, "hated" might be a bit strong, but effectively I felt like I was stranded while the Infinite Devil Engine threw the same two forms at me. I rather liked the dynamic of the new forms in Halo 3 and how they played in Cortana, and I certainly liked the fictional aspects of seeing what the Flood becomes when given time to advance unchecked.

Has AJ taken time to study Cortana, yet (the scenario, not the hologram)? I'd be curious to see what they take away from the scenario.

Nope - they're going in order, they just finished up The Ark.

I really like most of what you guys did with the flood. Giving them a weak point turned them from the bullet sponges they were in CE and 2, into a fun adversary. Floodgate is one of my favorite levels. I could've done without the pure form though, they're like a hybrid of the Halo 2 sniper jackals and a bullet sponge.

I'm okay with the turret iteration of the Pure Form, since it created a different kind of combat - ranged - with the Flood. My first round with them was brutal, but once you know what weapons to bring, they're not bad. Floodgate really is the perfect Flood mission - atmospheric, short, intense and not cramped.

A few Brute packs in Cortana would have gone a long ways. (Oh god that could be taken the wrong way.) My first time through, I kept thinking I was going to run into isolated groups of Covenant who have walled themselves up deep in the bowels of the ship, leading to some 3-way battles in there. As Wu said, it's a slog (at times), and that would have broken it up.

'Cortana' isn't helped by the fact that it follows the majesty of 'The Ark' and 'The Covenant'. Any level would have a hard time coming after those two, let alone a long journey through some kind of space-arse. :P

I decided to play Lone Wolves today just cuz well I wanna get my rank up and I was put with King of the Hill on Isolation (which wasn't that bad). Anyway, without even trying, I managed to get the ghost hijack achievement.

Only one left and I'll be a legit 1000 achievement points.

Luke, you need to find your Mister Chief for the updates, for boring times like these. I believe it may be the drawings of the maps (the first on was cool, I still have it as my wallpaper.) I encourage you to fill the void that will undoubtedly be tonight's update with a drawing of an un-revealed map.

Cortana + Legendary + All skulls
except Blind and Iron, duh...ok and also no Black Eye
= HELL

Though I believe the Library from Halo caused me the most pain, because at least with Halo 3 you can play through the level with 3 other people. :D
