Anyone see that before?
The Flood, Cortana, Chief, Brutes and Hunters all on Rat's Nest. :lol
Nice little tease at the end.![]()

Saw it, amazing.

I thought it was confirmed that Moonbase Alpha was on a human orbital platform, so we knew at least one more human map was coming?EazyB said:I still don't believe Bungie could successfully impliment AI that's customizable in MP. More likely (still can't believe it'd be likely), is that these models are player controlled. Then again Bungie's stated they can't even add new armor permutations let a lone totally new models onto MP maps. Either way; however they've been incorporated into the maps, if it is indeed coming to us players, it'll be awesome.
As for that last scene, it's probably just a small rendered portion of a new map. If this is the case then I'm simply dissappointed that it yet another human environment, but really not a big deal, hope it's a fun one. If it is a highly customizable Foundry-like map then FUCK YES!

Well however they're getting campaign models in there, whether it be through hardcore code haxing or a new disc (Halo: Blue), it's hard not to imagine that they'll be able to add more/new armor permutations.GhaleonEB said:As for the other stuff, at the least I think it hints that Bungie is doing something with Halo 3 other than just more MP maps. We don't know what, but that in and of itself is quite unexpected, and rather neat.

I think they can't add new armor for the same reason they can't update the Forge palette - the current armor set is hard-coded into the map budget. They can't add new armor without adding it to all maps, thus requiring everyone to download the new iteration of the map with armor in the palette. Totally guessing here.EazyB said:Well however they're getting campaign models in there, whether it be through hardcore code haxing or a new disc (Halo: Blue), it's hard not to imagine that they'll be able to add more/new armor permutations.
That's exactly the issue I was describing. If they change the Forge palette, everyone has to download the new map in full, and that's not possible.CougRon said:I don't think the armor permutations have anything to do with the maps. It's because not all people who play matchmaking can download content (core 360's have no hard drive). Thus the only way they could have armor download is to split the user base and/or permanently ban people without harddrives.

I could perceive them coming up with a patch that would allow the game to use campaign models in multi-player. since they are already on the game disk, no download required. The only thing is, I don't think those campaign models are made to take things like team colors. How would you know what team one of them is on?
You need a memory card for the Live profile, IIRC. But then only on the playlists that don't require any DLC (naturally).LAUGHTREY said:Can you even play online without a HD?
I'd be amazed if they were able to impliment campaign models into the disk MP levels using heavy DLC let a lone manipulating things with a patch. Then again I don't know anything about programing, I'm just using mah gut.GhaleonEB said:That's exactly the issue I was describing. I know the most restrain of you have said that the last few seconsd of the video is probably a new map, but if that was the case, would there be any reason to show us those grid lines and such? It seems like too big of a hint.

The last part of the video would certainly make it seem like we are getting some kind of Forge upgrade.urk said:Hoping for a full on map editor post ship might be a recipe for broken e-hearts. Definitely looks like we're going to get at least a new Forge space, with a nice clean grid to line up objects. The campaign elements appearing in existing multiplayer maps is pretty interesting too.
Boner Alert meter raised to half mast.
BTB just pisses me off because everybody always vetoes objective games. Yesterday when I was playing Social BTB and CTF on Valhalla got vetoed, I was pissed. When it was replaced by VIP on Last Resort and all of the vetoing dumbfucks started whining, I was happy. Thank the gods for VIP. Also, VIP on Last Resort... not that bad.GhaleonEB said:So I try RBTB for the first time in ages.
We get Avalanche, Slayer. Yay!
It gets vetoed. 0_0
Now we're in Standoff, someone on the other team is lagging us out. 10-61 right now.
I think I'm going back to Social BTB after this. :lol
That's the kicker: it was 1) Avalanche, 2) in BTB so it was rare and 3) Slayer. The gods has smiled.the disgruntled gamer said:BTB just pisses me off because everybody always vetoes objective games. Can someone upload the video to YouTube, or at least link the direct flv file? Nothing loads after the advertisement rolls.Chinner said:
