thanks to Burnie of RvB for the code - he hired me to construct a Grifball court with the same dimensions as the Foundry court - i am currently $15 dollars short of completion :D

we also noticed something - a friend recovered his Gamertag to my Xbox and we went on another Skull hunt, he now has the Skulls on his account and can play the Mythic maps, even when i am not logged on - you could likely do this all along, but it is the first time we have tried this

I've been getting matched up with a ton of ForgeHub people. Great matches so far!

No problem. I wasn't so great myself. :P I'm loving the playlist right now especially with the small amount of players. Its so friendly. I've been told that the Friends and Family Beta was the same way.

Yeah, me too, although my party of four is having some trouble getting matches.

I'm with two TTL guys and a BSG guy. We keep getting to the Players Found screen, and then getting booted back to Looking for player.
 
There is one question I've been meaning to ask...

From when Assembly was played at PAX to now, has there been any changes to the map? By the way it plays or the small changes no one cares about etc.?

It's only people who were given codes right? Through a competition or otherwise that's definitely going to help Keep It Clean. Enjoy it as much as you can while you can, Halo Wars drops soon I think.

It's exactly the same as it was at PAX.

Pretty much. Population reads 118 right now.
 
First attempt for joiing the mythic playlist was a bit dodgy. Managed to get into a lobby but it with 4 vs 3, and then it kicked a dude out and about about 2 mins we were all sent back. Just ofund a game now though.

Any problems are probably caused by the low population

That's awesome. Honestly I'm surprised it's even 100+ people, I would have expected maybe half that.

In other news HBO announced their contest winners. I've got no luck this week. :(
 
I'm tempted to get the Halo Wars CE just to have the maps early, and the store I know probably already has the game by tomorrow...

So tempted...

I'll check out HBO to see what they are up to with codes though...

Trying to adapt Boarding Action for a new age has failed. I have not the pieces nor the budget to finish one section, much less two.

Ah well, Ascension it is. ;)

Halo Wars LCE owners can play the Mythic Maps here. Unranked 4v4 and Objective games.

3-4 Players Per Team
Max Party Size: 8
Mythic Map Pack Required

Gametypes

* Team Slayer (23.7%) - First team to 50 kills wins. 12 minute match time limit.
* Team Slayer BRs (26.9%) - First team to 50 kills wins. Players spawn with Battle Rifles and Assault Rifle secondary weapons. 12 minute match time limit.
* Team SWAT (19%) - Score points by killing players on the opposing team. First team to 50 points wins. Players start with Battle Rifles and Magnums. Player traits: 150% damage resistance, 0x shield multiplier, infinite ammo, motion tracker disabled, no spawning grenades. 12 minute match time limit.
* Multi Flag BRs (12.8%) - Both teams battle to capture each other's flags. First team to three flags wins. Battle Rifle starts with Assault Rifle secondary wepaons. 20 minute match time.
* Neutral Assault (12.8%) - Teams vie over a single bomb, scoring points by detonating the bomb in the opposing team's base. 15 minute match time limit.
* Grifball (4.8%) - Teams vie over a bomb, attempting to plant and detonate the bomb on the other team's arm point. Players spawn with Gravity Hammers and Energy Swords. Player traits: No grenades, infinite ammo, 200% damage and no shields. Ball carrier traits: Orange forced color, 2x shields and 150% movement speed. Assault bomb arms instantly, and one successful detonation ends the round. Team with the highest score after five rounds wins. Three minutes per round.

I don't understand why it needs to be a remake, i made a homage to boarding action on foundry. You could easily make a simpler version of boarding action that plays just as well

The only terrain merging I've done is on Foundry using the metal door to force things to sink (while carrying it, it intersects things, and if you grab the intersected thing it gets displaced) or on Avalanche using Energy Barriers or whatever they are (the equivalent to that door on Foundry, but made of bright yellow energies).
 
is there any fix for the lack of widescreen support for local multiplayer? how the fuck are you gonna push HD and stuff, and not truly support it? it drives me crazy having two black bars on my HDTV when im trying to play with a friend.

what happens when you have 4 people? does it fill everything up? this is so annoying.

It's all about keeping the aspect ratio. If it filled it up all the way you would be getting a wider viewing area, hence something that could be used as advantage in MP. 4 people would result in four 4:3 boxes. If a full screen is what you desire just set your TV to stretch the screen. You will see a decrease in PQ, but if that's what you really want.
