A lot of the Bumper Jumpers play MLG. Dual Wielding is hardly ever done.

Bumper Jumper sounds intriguing but I'm stuck in my ways and refuse to switch for no real reason. There's more to Halo than just out BRing someone. I like to think that If I could put myself in a position where I didn't need to 4 shot someone, I could elevate my game. 1 on 1 battles are bound to happen multiple times in each game though so it is important to have a good BR. I definitely don't think it's the most important skill though to be really good at halo.

i've tried to switch to bumper jumper so i can become more leet but i found out i wasn't leet enough so i still play on normal

also dual wielding plasma pistol/pistol is still effective in halo 3 just harder

I've tried numerous times to change from default to Bumper Jumper, but my 8 years of playing Halo religiously have firmly planted the default setting into my mind. I just can't learn any new configurations.

Do I have a tale for you guys. My friend and I fired up Halo 3, with a goal of playing through the campaign on Legendary. We died. A lot. The enemies had a lot of grenades, and they threw tons of them. We finally came up with a system of one person staying back and the other running up ahead and spamming grenades, which slowly got us further on in the level. We especially shed a lot of our own blood at the dam trying to clear out the snipers and killing the Chieftain.

But at last, we pushed through, rescued the marines, and fought off the Covenant assault. We entered the Pelican at the same time and leaned back into our chairs. Once we went back into the lobby, we checked out the game settings, just because.

Our mouths gaped. 6 of the 9 Gold skulls were active.

I like the armor color, seems more badass some reason. I think they said it's reflecting the environment a bit. Har har.

Debate on Bumper Jumper: I just can't go back to Default now. Bumper Jumper is great, it was fun getting used to a new way to play the game too. I don't really have a problem duel-wielding, but then again I don't duel-wield often. Bow down to Bumper Jumper. It's funny how I can go from playing Halo 1 on Xbox to Halo 3 Bumper Jumper just fine, but if I play default controls I get all screwed up. I'm either pressing X or B for reload :lol

That's great! You should switch to it man. I'm telling you, not only will it allow you to still dual-wield... you will still be able to jump out of banshees and shoot your teamates with your flamethrower all without skipping a beat! Have fun!

I tried clawing back in the day and it's just not for me. I'm pretty happy with Default.

Proof that button layout doesn't mean jack shit: I met someone online while play Halo2 named Bawney. Dude was really good, probably better than most of the players on here (except me of course ). I attended an MLG and found out that he played with one arm, shit totally blew my mind. He made his own playing style named 'the spider'. If you google it you'll find out some information on him.

Man, I havn't played Halo 3 in forever. I bought the legendary map pack when it went on sale a few months ago and hadn't tried them out until now, after beating Fallout 3.

So what's been happening for the past 6 months?

I know you guys are likely doing a ODST premium theme so could you guys let the artists know that it doesn't need the Halo logo/game title on it? I probably won't buy it since I don't buy themes, but Halo is one of the few games I would make an exception in this case.

Why in the hell would you ever dual wield... Regardless, A button configuration isn't something you pick up in a day it takes several hours of gameplay for your brain and muscles to develop their memory and get in sync with one another. Unless you are some sort of freak who just has some insane skill with changing things hes done one way forever. It took me almost two weeks probably to stop hitting wrong buttons with Bumper Jumper.

The benefit of not having to remove your thumb from the aiming stick to press jump is a huge benefit in any heated BR fight.

Keep at it though.

Now in Lone Wolf or anything ranked would I duel wield? Rarely. But since I decided to try Bumper Jumper in a social list rather than a rank duel wielding was an issue I ran into.

I'll try and stick with it though.

Posted before. How I hold the sticks. Learned to claw so I could aim my doubleshots and BXR's while performing them in H2. In H3 it lost a lot of value especially with the introduction of BJ'er but I still claw now as it feels more natural than how I used to hold it. Seriously I look back and ask myself WTF I was thinking.

READ THIS: I honestly would like to say here that everyone should give learning to claw a try. Sure it might not be an advantage at first and you will play very shitty but it gets easier as time goes on. Now people say to switch to BJ'er so you can jump and not remove your thumb off the aimer. Keeping your thumb on the right analog stick while pressing buttons can help in ANY GAME. So if the game doesn't have BJ'er setup style that is where clawing would help you.

Clumper Jumper for the win. Played Cloxer in H2.

Also...You didn't need to quote me twenty times saying why would you dual wield. I know why you would, I love team duals, I dual wield, I was just being sarcastic.
