Yea too bad it doesn't work because you can flag drop flag stolen it at a very very fast pace. But that's funny what you were doing there.

Indeed.

The Playlist Update from September was good for a couple weeks, but really it's been uninspiring anymore.

There needs to be an update in match types for Team Slayer (Team Slayer Pro, etc.), some additions and modifications in Team Objective, serious reduction of Team Heavies in Squad Battle (among other quirks..), Social Skirmish is a big LOL right now, Social Slayer needs a revamp, and there's more, but I think the idea is laid out.

It's just not very fun right now.

For how many months now has it been well known that Team Snipers on Standoff is completely broken if someone gets behind the other teams base? Yet it remains. So awesome.

I like Snipers on Standoff, except for the shitty heli-pad spawns. Truly pitiful.

As for Bungie Favorites, why not add popular or highly rated maps from ForgeHub? There's always really well-made maps from that place for MLG, normal competitive style, racing, and casual. Two Boxes adds... well, absolutely nothing.

I'd just like to chime in that I also hate Team Snipers on Standoff. Worst ever.

I also hate how frequently guys spawn behind you on High Ground.

I still play all the time though :lol
 
Can anyone explain to me the best way to get into the game again after a long hiatus?

I maxed out at level 41 or so back when Halo 3 initially came out, but took a very long break.

Now I'm back, and it's not even fair. I suck. I can't hold my own in any social playlists at all, which is strange.


Are there playlists that don't take into account skill level? Or some way to 'reset' your skill? Getting pawned every game is getting old, and is turning me off from the game.
 
i am on the side of actually liking snipes on standoff
i enjoy trying to get behind the enemies base while also trying to protect the backside of ours

Hmph, it's almost like he's describingwhat happened to all of NeoGAF quite awhile ago!

But I agree, we're in serious danger here. The only thing we can do to disguise ourselves is to pretend to be disgruntled spaniards. If anyone needs help with the nuances of the language, they can just PM Ramirez. Let's begin:

The other day I finished a machinima for one of my classes using Halo 3. It's my first machinima ever so with that in mind I'm pretty happy with it:

Edit: For a little more info, it's Halo 3 footage on top of the audio from the teaser trailer for Tombstone (the one with Val Kilmer as Doc Holliday)

Man, we should so play them, both GT's he put down weren't even that good, the KD spread for one wasn't good at all, just barely over a 1 or right below 1. We can take them, actually played a couple matches today after not play for a week, (curse you NHL and Fable) and pretty much pwned everyone, so lets do this. *puts on game face.

The sad thing is is that we would probably crush them as long as Juices connection doesn't go out. Oh well, off to bed, its late/early and I have classes tomorrow, maybe set one up with them or something and let me know if you did a 1v1 or if they want more people. Also if you do, don't lose, or you will be the laughing stock of NeoGaf and the rest of the internetz.

bungie please take the assault rifle out of your game. it is a terrible weapon and makes every game where i use it terrible. if it were br starts the enjoyment of this game would probably be increased ten fold. whoever invented land grab, how do you live with yourself? please understand that snowbound is still an awful map even if you take out shield doors. sandtrap is pretty awful too. the quality of your playlists is really bad. does someone actually get paid to manage these playlists.
 
I had such a fun time last night. Twelve people from our college class (including me) brought their Xbox 360's and Wii's to school at six in the afternoon. And we borrowed HD Ready projectors and played on the walls of the most massive room in school. Halo 3 was easily the most fun when everybody who hadn't played it got the hang of things.

Infection rocked, multi-team Slayer had balanced teams and to top it off we played 10-player Rockets on Guardian. Thank the gods that our school isn't anywhere close to a residential area because we screamed and laughed like lunatics :)

Good times.

For VIP/Territories:

VIP and Land Grab? Those weren't in Halo 2!
Well, you got me there. :)

We do want to try some new games in new circumstances, to see what fits and what does not. This is why they're weighted low (to minimize disruption.) The long term payoff is that, if the gametype is successful, it adds to the variety of gametypes available to further build out the playlist. I realize some people are going to be adverse to change, but some risks are worth taking.

Got outside Foundry, it was a decent time, I realized they only added things on the side you could see out the windows, otherwise its just basically a ground made of water and the orange brown sky. The side with the windows there is a cool background.

Not that your comments aren't sort of funny at times in an ironic sense, if your Halo 3 experience is as awful as you describe, I do hope you're treating your masochistic tendencies in an appropriate fashion as to avoid being taken advantage of in the way that you are by Bungie's sadistic gametype developers.

Oh shit I just noticed NeoGAF got the Community Spotlight and will be in Bungie's Favorites for the next two weeks. That's awesome!

Oh and let me continue my campaign for FLAME GRENADES AND SHOTGUNS for the Thanksgiving Playlist!
