A mistake, obviously. The buttons for accept and ban forever must have been switched up that day.
 
Woot. After yesterday's Brigadier success story, today's achievement has been the completion of H3 on Legendary (combined solo and co-op, mind you, haven't done everything solo yet) and the retrieval of the last skull I was missing. I forgot how much fun The Storm (completed yesterday with Shake Appeal) and Sierra 117 were.
 
Holy shit. I increased my sensitivity from 2 to 5 and I feel like I've been reborn. :lol I out-BRed a General...twice. It felt so good. I was 2 seconds from out BRing another General in another game and all of a sudden, he tele-strafed. Hmmmmmm........How many MS points is that General button config? :)
 
I took screens of my maps and put them in file sets alongside the maps. First time I've messed around with the feature, good stuff. I thought the pics would have to be in my fileshare in order for them to stay linked so I renewed Bungie Pro. Turns out you can't link screens that are on the Recent Screens page but you can link them from your fileshare, delete them from the fileshare, and they'll still be on Bungie.net in the fileset.

Anyways, linking the pics of "a Fun Map" I read my old description for the map, "This retired Sangheli Flight helmet factory now only produces good times." Brought a tear to my eye.

I slowly worked my way up from 2 at launch to 4. I think it's a pretty good spot. It's fast enough that you don't get burned in CQC but it also keeps a steady BR and snipe if you're gentle with the sticks.

I don't see how a faster sensitivity would improve BRing at anything but CQC. Should you may be able to turn a face someone who's shooting you from behind quicker, but otherwise, the slower, the steadier.

Back in the Halo 2 days, I always rocked a pretty high sensitivity (7 or 8 at times), and I started doing the same when Halo 3 was released. But when I heard most good players use around 3 or 4, I started turning it down somewhat. I think I'm currently at 3, because I got frustrated trying to snipe with 4 in a game. It really does make quite a bit of difference.

- Players sometimes spawn outside of proper playing area (teleporter/'suicide booth' available).

- Map not available in true 720p.
- Jaggies on boxes, walls, ceiling, floor, and other geometry and objects.
- Boxes not entirely straight.

I rented it and it is so much fun, haven't been able to pick up H3 in a while and play it because of some of my other games need some love.

Edit: Is there any way to move user created content from one profile on a 360 to another when the one that has the desired content is a silver GT? I have a map I made on my older account, but it is silver now. I was going to just put it on the file share and download it to my new GT, but you can only use the File Share if your account is Gold or Silver w/ Bungie Pro. I have a one month card that I got with my refurbed 360 from MS. I could use that but I don't really want to, and it would take too long to recreate the map from scratch.

Any suggestions are welcome.
 
GAF is on Bungie Favourites for two weeks right? How about we put up a really bad picture and see how many DLs it gets?

Hey, don't worry about it - a LOT of people feel that way. We sort of see that as the first line of defense. :D

In totally separate news, I've played Shotty Snipers in 6 of my last 8 Social Slayer matches - and one of the other two had it come up and get vetoed. (The 8th one was Team Slayer on Foundry - folks were GOING to veto, but I begged them not to, since I'd just played 4 straight games of shotty snipes, and was POSITIVE it would come up as the second choice.) The Bungie Playlists page says it's 13% - but my experience over the last couple of weeks seems to suggest that there might be something a little wrong with that calculation.

Haha... don't worry. The dregs of BNet will stay there because they are comfortable and it is quick and easy to create new accounts. The "no free email" rule and the long wait to be approved will keep the ADHD tweens securely at BNet, where I'll continue my pointless and fruitless quest to make them grow up and calm down. :-)

I was surprised at how steady my control was, seeing as how I was using a 2 for so long. I guess it's because I thought that I couldn't navigate the sticks without jerking them around, thus having to use a sensitivity that tightens the controls. But that jerking was making me work against the controls in a way. With a 5, I feel like I can be in control.

Besides, 5 is what I was using when I started Halo 3 (before I ever picked up a BR).

I think it is kind of retarded to actually try and put bad stuff in to bungie favorites. If goal was to piss off the b.net babies I am sure Bungie would have just passed on the Neogaf spotlight. I say everyone rounds up the stuff they are seriously proud of and send it to NGHC........all that aside Two Boxs is a neogaf staple and should be in :lol

Move up to 10 sensitivity...it'll take a while to get used the speed but it's great for close quarters. My Br is good but not exactly what it used to be, but I love sniping with 10 sensitivity. I can look around the entire map zoomed in and sweep snipe nicely.

Sign in both accounts on the same 360 (or system link if you want to be needlessly fancy) and load up a map in custom games. Quit the game and go into forge with your gold account. The map you just played should be under "Recent Maps". Save it from the recent maps menu and you should be good to go.

AND apparently stores no longer sell 20GB HDs but only 120GB ones which cost at cheapest $140!!!

I just wiped my 20gb to transfer everything to my 120gb. It's in pretty much perfect shape, aside from looking a little worn. Let's PM, dood.
 
We should really try to make the screenshots for week 2 ALOT better. I've seen the Halo 3 Official Pic thread on this forum, I know we can do better than what went up. :lol

Agreed, we need to go out with a bang. I've seen some pretty awesome pics outta this place and the least we could do is give them a name. And with the maps, if your map is up there go ahead and link screens of the map to it and in the case of *shudders* The Plateform, link its corresponding gametype to it so that people know what it's about.

Two Boxes is awesome. Dom, you're putting in the original, right, not Deluxe? Deluxe is awesome, but I honestly think that it was a bit rushed. I doubt we'll ever get the full story (maybe in a DVD Making of, one day?), but it just feels like they he ran out of time.
