Honestly I feel like they should just throw some mongooses into some of the Lone Wolves maps. Is the only LW maps with a mongoose High Ground and Isolation? Haven't gotten either of them.

I'm tempted to ask a question about using filters in the next recon game, but then I remember that there's no campaign forge. I wonder if it's still possible to turn them on somehow. I would love to see at least juicy in the game.

Maybe we'll get some new skulls. Filter skulls would be great.

Jesus wtf is with people so afraid of quitting because Bungie has this Experience system LOL. If you aren't having fun LEAVE, its just a fucking video game.

Obviously MM failed to get a close match, you were getting pooped on, just quit.

Bottom line MM needs to be redone. It needs to add the highest skills of each team, factor in their status (brig,colonel,etc) and factor in games played and then create a semi-close skill level between teams. Even in social.

I learned my lesson after getting a two week vacation. I'm not quitting. :/

I ran into some pretty shady looking players in a DLC BTB; they had ridiculously high individual playlist ranks:

...and the list goes on. Almost the whole team had similarly high ranks in DLC BTB. If my math is right, with an average BTB game time of 15 minutes, the Colonel Grade 3 would have to play almost 4 days straight to get to the rank he is now; that's not even including the games he lost. I don't want to investigate any further, but something seems shady.

If you can't get the kid Recon then don't accept the points. It's pretty funny that he would go to these lengths, but accepting those points isn't very smart in my opinion.

except you blatantly abused the system and were called out for it.

sticking around in laggy or extremely lopsided games is an exercise in tedium. the huge emphasis placed on teamwork in halo 3 makes poorly balanced teams even more of an issue. i don't know about you, but i play this shit to have fun. such games are probably the furthest thing from it. fuck exp.

So after playing some of the CoD:WaW beta I can say that I liked the way Bungie handled lag for Halo 3. It may not be perfect but it isn't that.

halo seems to give more favor to the shooter than the reciever but also has some balance between the two

cod4 is similar but that makes it shitty considering it is one shot kill basically

Not literally 2 seconds later, I just said that in exaggeration. Its more around a half a second like I say in the post and no its not my connection, trust me on that one. It shows in the kill cam, where I think I shoot a guy a couple times and then in the kill cam, it shows that I didn't even fire a bullet.

I agree completely with both of you. The CoD:WaW beta has been annoying me. I can watch saved films in H3 and see my bullets hit and watch ones hit me and 99% of the time it feels fair. In WaW, the kill cam seems decidedly off many times. In the game, I'll fall over dead immediately, seemingly a one-shot kill, but the kill cam shows my opponent putting a sizable burst in me. It doesn't seem to be my connection, because H3 performs just fine most of the time, and GRAW was always smooth as butter when I played that.

Once I get my modded original xbox up to college, I'm putting it in H2, yeah most of you didn't realize that I am also, dare I say it, a modder. Not an xbox live one, but a part of the ones that made actual changes with models and textures and such, aka halomods.com.

I will say though that the overall SMG model is actually Bungie's ripped from H2, I take no credit on the actual SMG, just the few modifications I made to it, because I didn't feel like making a full SMG when there was already one set up that would fit perfectly in MC's hands.

I just had a very good game, but there were some incidents.

Three incidents.

BTB, Slayer, Avalanche

For some reason no one wanted the Laser. Well, one guy did after I picked it up, but he was killed instantly after I gave it to him, so I took it back from his corpse. Other than that, no one seemed to go after it the entire game. So I ended up with three of them. There were...some accidents.

I spent a lot of the game up here, waiting for hapless vehicles to come around the bend.

I want to emphasize that, aside from the incidents, I had some great shots.

Such as this shot right on the rear of a fleeing 'Hog. Clutch shot, saved two dudes asses big time.

Incident #1

Clearly, I was aiming for the enemy Warthog in the back. I had an open shot to pick it off before it could chew into the side of my buddies, who didn't see it coming.

Unfortunately, they backed up. Sorry guys.

I did take out the other Warthog, while shouting apologies in the mic. "What the hell?!" was one of the more charitable responses.


Incident #2

This looked like an easy shot. The Warthog was out in the open, pummeling our Hornet. For some reason a Mongoose is cruising around. I fire up...

At least I got the Warthog this time. Between the Mongoose and the Hornet, the 'Goose was the lesser of the two team mates to take down. :lol


Incident #3

This one involves Rockets. Always good for a laugh.

Tired of duck hunting - I keep killing my team mates - I grab Rockets and head down the man cannon to blow some guys up.

So far, so good. There's one more guy in the rear, so I jump for the follow-up shot. It's very important to note my line of sight at this point.

Seriously, who the heck brings a loaded Warthog through the man cannon chamber!?

Luckily for me, the Blue dude was firing on the Warthog, and the game awarded him with a double-kill instead of me with a double-betrayal.

He lost his shield and, having no idea where I was, runs behind the Warthog for cover. I can't say he was very bright. Maybe he panicked?

I was out of Rockets, so the Laser had to do.

The kicker is, the two team mates in the Warthog I killed here were the same two in the first 'Hog I lasered. I'm sure they would have booted me had the game not awarded the kills to the other guy. :lol
