Remember, Chief uses a drop pod in Halo 2 as well as the ODST's.![]()
In all reality, though, if it is actually a Halo 3 campaign "expansion", and you aren't the chief...I wonder how Bungie will utilize shieldless ODST's versus elites/brutes.
Also...wasn't New Mombasa razed about midway through Halo 2?
Which means it could be a "After master chief leaves Earth in halo 2" as the starting point.....from an Earth perspective, rather than the Chief's.

A different perspective of the Covenant invasion of New Mombasa? Hell yes! Downloadable? Don't mind if I do! Retail Disc? Perfectly acceptable! Can't wait for some details on this thing![]()
Captain Blood said:So all those ODSTs are dropping from the sky and then one lone drop pad lands at the end.......Spartan???? God that would be badass.
How many more people are gonna say this or rephrase it again?Dax01 said:I think this campaign "expansion" will be paired up with all the mythic maps for a retail release of 30 bucks or something. It would explain why the total gamerscore of Halo 3's achievements exceeds the usual limit of 1250.
Captain Blood said:Are you fucking serious lol. You are saying there was no effort put into Halo 3's campain.....lulz back to ignore

Gameplay wise? hello?Sai-kun said:"Where should I tell them to go?"

give me a fucking break. I suck Bungie's cock 24/7 and even I know that shit like that was lame.

We all know the dialog is pretty bad at times.
If "we all know" that the cut scenes in Halo 3 were bad, what is up with Blood's comment?Nutter said:We all know the dialog is pretty bad at times.

I dont know if you are serious.Shishka said:Where is that quote from?
[Edit] I can't hear you la la la.
Not "all" Cutscense are "bad". Many Many cutscenes were made of pure WIN. The dialog in a few places just seemed off that is all.Dax01 said:If "we all know" that the cut scenes in Halo 3 were bad, what is up with Blood's comment?

but here goes.
Crow's Nest , Opening Cinema, Miranda to a Marine.

The only cut scenes I can think of that measured up to Halo 2 were both at the beginning and ending of "The Covenant." I want the quality of the cutscenes to be comparable to Halo 1 and Halo 2's.Nutter said:Not all Cutscense are "bad". Many Many cutscence were made of pure WIN.
I salute you, sir. May the Flight rest in peace. There still may be a day where the Flight comes back to fight once more.EazyB said:

They were spartan Red team, if I recall correctly.GM Bullfrog said:Weren't they the Blue team? Would that bring new meaning to the Halo: Blue entry that was being shown in some Wal-Mart catalog.

Second Battle of Earth
Following her return to Earth, Linda, as well as Fred and Will, were called upon to perform a number of operations during the Second Battle of Earth up until November 3rd, 2552. These operations included numerous operations in orbit around Earth, such as stopping a Covenant invasion on Mount Erebus in Antarctica with a HAVOK tactical nuke, and destroying Covenant forces on the sea floor off the coast of the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico. Following these operations, they were deployed to the Centennial Orbital Elevator (also known as Tallo Negro del Maiz) in Havana, Cuba to stop Covenant forces that had gathered there. Linda, along with the other Spartans, stopped the Covenant forces that had captured multiple nuclear warheads. The Spartans ascended the orbital elevator, destroyed one of the Covenant Capital Ships at the top, and captured another one; the Bloodied Spirit.

The lone drop pod most likely represents you, the player.
I had a late edit, but I don't know if it would make sense to have another Spartan character involved. That stuff is great and all for the books, but I think for the Halo story it is important that Chief is recognized as the lone Spartan who becomes the savior of earth.GM Bullfrog said:I agree with that. The question now becomes, who are you? An ODST or one of the other remaining Spartans.
It is one of the bungie.net avatars they have. (but originally its from the zune artwork)Trasher said:Nutter, your avatar is awesome. Where is it from?

Well then, I'm glad I was wrong. :lol It could be a tactical game like everyone is hoping for, but you are working with other spartans as a squad.GM Bullfrog said:I think you are mistaken.
