I thought about buying NBA 2k21. Now I don't have to think about it at least.Welp enjoy your gaming real deal
Shit ain't for me and a lot of other (i already know that gamepass fanboyz will still not get it but anyway), so again no thanks keep this thing to yourself
Yeah it’s weird.Don't blame the die-hard warriors. It's like an instinct or reflex when they see someone enyoing Xbox.
To me, the instant resume feature that works even when I turn off the system is a game cnanger. It became really hard to live without it.
I use gamepass as a glorified demo scheme that let me play it first and buys me time to wait for price drops if I want to keep them. That overall let me save money and regret.
Then that's good, because they are.It just makes people here look desperate and insecure.
That's the right attitude. I have a Xbox, i will get a PS5 when Sony releases PSVR2, i have a Pc and i would also get a Switch, but i don't like the concept. Not a mobile gamer.Yeah it’s weird.
Honestly, and this goes for all of you rabid fan boys: if you’re gaming on one just platform then ultimately, you’re the one who is missing out.
Both the Series X and PS5 are great upgrades on previous consoles.
I also game occasionally on Switch and on PC when my kids use the tv.
I win.
Unlike the PS5, where the most exciting things are a PS3 game and a PS4 DLC/expansion -So just like last gen, the only good thing about Xbox is old games.
How exciting.
The game looks awesome and I'd gladly shell out $70 for it especially if you've played Housemarque's other titlesReturnal is, like Demon Souls, a very niche game (not everyone likes roguelikes) for $70.
Games are the biggest piece of the puzzle though. I still don't see how MS didn't have a couple of big games ready for launchXbox and its ecosystem are the best, but what it lacks are the games for now....
MS was almost done with Xbox. Literally everything was being underfunded or cancelled. A lot of these studios have just been purchased recently and it takes 3-4 years to make a good game under the best of conditions. New teams, COVID, new direction for Xbox, new next-gen hardware to program for, etc most likely have slowed them down tremendously. I really wouldn't expect anything huge from Xbox until 2022. They'll manage to pull a surprise or two this year (Halo, maybe Starfield) but they are well behind Sony on this curve.Games are the biggest piece of the puzzle though. They slowed down after 2016 ffs
I'd gladly shell out $70 too. The problem is what is Housemarque's fate if that $70 game bombs? Sony is pricing some of these games to fail miserably. This isn't console war bullshit, this is a real concern. $70 is too much for games like this...The game looks awesome and I'd gladly shell out $70 for it especially if you've played Housemarque's other titles
I forgot Xbox almost wasn't a thing anymore. It just seems so weird for PS to end last generation with a good amount of games and also start the next generation with more games than the competition but yes, the reasons make senseMS was almost done with Xbox. I try not to jump into fanboyish comments like this but just couldn't help myself here. You know that just isn't true lol and isn't a 1:1 comparison since the games in question were designed for the PS5 (one was completely redone, while the other was updated similar to how Destiny 2 was for next gen.) Transitional games have existed every generation.Unlike the PS5, where the most exciting things are a PS3 game and a PS4 DLC/expansion -
What makes you say that? You don't know the scope, depth of the game or budget etc. MS purchased many of those studios 3 years ago and aside from Ninja Theory they've shown nothing.I'd gladly shell out $70 too. The problem is what is Housemarque's fate if that $70 game bombs? Sony is pricing some of these games to fail miserably. This isn't console war bullshit, this is a real concern. $70 is too much for games like this...
Idk if I agree. I think if the game is really good then it'll justify the price. We're seeing PS5 exclusives starting to reach the top of the sales charts as more PS5 consoles get soldI'd gladly shell out $70 too. The problem is what is Housemarque's fate if that $70 game bombs? It takes 3-4 years to make a good game so you should be seeing stuff soon. Psychonauts 2 is probably this year and I'm sure we'll see previews of others this year to be released in 2022. Next year is definitely the year we'll see Xbox Studios come into their own, it won't be this year. What makes you say that? You don't know the scope, depth of the game or budget etc. MS purchased many of those studios 3 years ago and aside from Ninja Theory they've shown nothing.
Why is the $70 dollar thing being made into a Sony thing. Third party developer games for example that are $59.99 are still $59.99 on both systems while games that are $69.99 are also still $69.99 on both platforms. The real impact of the price increase remains to be seen when more next gen only games release but the price hike as far as I know is pretty much across the board. I know MS is getting a pass on this due to Game Pass and the promise of future first party games day and date on Game Pass (and in the past I think they've discounted their first party to $10 dollars less but all that remains to be seen.)I'd gladly shell out $70 too. The problem is what is Housemarque's fate if that $70 game bombs? Sony is pricing some of these games to fail miserably. I mean I know you're trying to downplay Demon Souls. As if calling it a remake is somehow an insult. It isn't a PS3 game. It's a PS5 game. It's completely remade and amazing.Unlike the PS5, where the most exciting things are a PS3 game and a PS4 DLC/expansion -

Now on the Xbox side we've got The Medium as an exclusive overall. There have been some older games that I believe were updated for XSX but I am not clear on the details for those but those games did not release this year or last year, they released years ago so they are not exactly transitional.
I think Returnal will do well, especially when the PS5 stock issues get ironed out this yearIt takes 3-4 years to make a good game so you should be seeing stuff soon. Psychonauts 2 is probably this year and I'm sure we'll see previews of others this year to be released in 2022. I hope I'm wrong about Returnal, I'm just not seeing the hype across any metric to suggest it's going to sell well. I'll gladly eat crow if its sells millions.
I think she knows that already. That's why I said in my response that the comment was fanboyish. Someone triggered her enough to basically try to do an "eye" for an "eye" like comment. At-least I hope!I mean I know you're trying to downplay Demon Souls. As if calling it a remake is somehow an insult. It isn't a PS3 game. It's a PS5 game. It's completely remade and amazing.
But if that's your insult, the truth is that's more than Xbox provided. They launched with no first-party games and just said "hey play games you already have".
So your insult doesn't make a case for Xbox.
But it's not that strong of a point. If you want to misrepresent what I said to fullfil your agenda, that's on you.
My point still stands: right now next gen has almost no next gen games and therefore what becomes more important to me and to a lot of people is retrocompatibility, which is an aspect in which the Xbox Series X is clearly better than the PS5. Especially if you add the wonderful gamepass.
Nobody said I was buying the Xbox Series X just to play old games, but just like with the PS5, we are waiting for the good next gen games to come. And meanwhile, retrocompatibility makes the Xbox Series X more attractive than the PS5 right now to a lot of people that don't care that much about Morales DLC or Demon's Souls remake.
Turned my PS5 on last night for the first time in a month. After it repaired the fucking database again I added the PS Plus games to my library, noticed the controller battery was almost dead despite not having been turned on, plugged that in and turned it off. Went back to playing Immortals and Dirt 5 on Series X.
See you again in a month when the new PS Plus games come out, PS5. I concur with the article in the OP.

Yeah, I was more illustrating how little use the PS5 is getting from me at the moment... I will get to it at some point. Waiting for Sony to stop holding out on dropping the price of Miles Morales, and maybe even Sackboy. If you don't use the controller for a while, specially with a rechargeable battery in it, it is going to lose its charge! Lol. I am not sure what you are trying to highlight there with your comment but it sounds to me like you are just lazy!
The lack of effort on your part is surprising but you could invest in the charging dock so you don't run into that again! Or you really do prefer the XSX (which is totally fine). The database thing (yes, very inconvenient) usually only happens if the electricity went out or you unplugged it incorrectly!
I think Sigourney Weaver simulation looks pretty good. I don't know if it's $70 good though. Roguelike's make me feel like the game is artificially lengthened by making the player start over again with some changes to the environments and enemies. Kinda like Hades. I really liked Hades, but I wouldn't pay $70 for it.The game looks awesome and I'd gladly shell out $70 for it especially if you've played Housemarque's other titles

Although I would prefer to be able to use actual batteries in the controller, then I wouldn't have that problem, but I know that triggers some people too lol.
I also turned my PS5 on for the first time in a month. I didn't have the same experience re: database and controller. It works flawlessly (fingers crossed) I played God of War and Astro's Playroom for an hour. Then hopped back on my XBOX Series X to play Warzone (prefer the Elite Controller Series 2 over DS5) and explore GamePass more with no real desire to go back to the PS5.
Besides Spiderman and the novelty that's Astro's Playroom I'm not really seeing the value there yet. Maybe when more exclusives drop I'll give my PS5 a chance. I do have an unwrapped copy of Final Fantasy VII waiting for the PS5 June upgrade.

We can safely say that 2018 is the where Xbox started anew. So until 2021 - 2022 it will be relatively dry.Games are the biggest piece of the puzzle though. I still don't see how MS didn't have a couple of big games ready for launch
They slowed down after 2016 ffs
Too much salt is bad for you.Unlike the PS5, where the most exciting things are a PS3 game and a PS4 DLC/expansion -
It's Kotakus version, pretty much a paid advertisement.Wait, is this the same thread as the "PS5 exclusives drove me to Series," or is this a new thread?
I honestly can't tell a difference.
I have started to use my gaming pc more often as well due to gamepass, the seamless syncing between Xbox and pc is pure magicTo me, the instant resume feature that works even when I turn off the system is a game cnanger. It became really hard to live without it.

Curry’s is supposed to have some stock this weekI've been rabidly trying to buy a ps5 in the UK without success. I know it sounds daft but posts like this make me feel a bit better as I'm sure the THOUGHT of owning a ps5 at this moment in time is better than actually playing on one given the rather limited catalogue of games at the moment.
Still... If anyone can point me in the direction of a digital ps5 in the UK...

The topic or the comments?I honestly can't tell a difference.
Instant resume is very different. Look it up. You are missing out greatly unless you never play more then the 1 game until it's done and move on.It takes between 1 and 2 seconds (real time) continuing my PS5 game from rest mode, and other games load near instantly too, so I'm not sure what "instant resume" could bring to me here. Both consoles are extremely fast on that point. I can wait one full second.
Yeah who already bought them, hence the publisher has no problem dumping them on Gamepass and taking MS’s money. They already sold what they wanted and anyone who really wanted to play them already did.you do realise that each of these games (maybe except star wars one) have a huge following and audience, madden probably sells more than lots of games that you like to play
Lol so where are these PlayStation exclusives? It’s looking like Microsoft will have more exclusives this year if Sony keep delaying them to next year. I wonder if they are being delayed to allow time for a pc portNot both consoles. Playstation has exclusives, and a lot. Xbox doesn't.
For somebody who is on a gaming forum you seem quite ignorant and not in touch on what's going on in the industry.

Yo Krisprolls where did you get that quote from ?
Serious question because that’s not usually something I would post especially on this particular subject, not a fan of people writing up fake qoutes of me . Some people might get the wrong impression
