have you been on a college campus in the last 20 years? there is a concerted program of ideological indoctrination that is amplified via feedback loop. I.e., people only hire people with same views, making faculties homogeneous. Universities now all have officers whose job it is to ensure no deviation. Sure old profs with tenure can occasionally say things, like Peterson, but anyone entering into tenure track today has been moulded and vetted. So virtually all graduates come into contact with progressive political faculty via mandatory courses, including compsci. Alternatives are not present. The culture of college is 90%+ progressive, deviation results in ostracising at best, removal at worst.
So, today, to attract new talent, a corporation must pretend to be part of the progressive movement, and they must enact policies to get progressive messages into their products, whether they are banks, movie studios, or game dev houses.
I am not saying it is better or worse, but I am saying it 100% exists. Maybe raising generations of proto Marxist feminists with a fascistic bent will make a better society and world.
edit: of course it starts earlier than college, as regular teachers have to go through that system. So what has happened in universities is happening in public eduction. There is just some lag. They are probably 10 years behind.

But enforcing a progressive work environment absolutely limits types of humor and kinds of writers. Dave Chapelle humor isn’t happening, for example.
it is probably for the best in terms of sales. as the youth becomes more progressive, videogames have to reflect that in order to sell.

I've been a student of several different universities - some more liberal leaning and some more conservative leaning. I've presented at many as well and worked as adjunct and with faculty at varying levels. I work with conservative and liberal colleague's alike who all have healthy political and social conversations and get along.

Societies naturally change over time, and again, using some weird mental gymnastics to claim it's all indoctrined Marxism is just bizarre and a complete oversight of global social changes. As a public school teacher I had my first taste of it earlier this year. They had us sign up for some professional development classes from a local college. Most were fine and normal. One was NOT. It was literally Feminist-Racial Critical Theory Indoctrination 101. There was even a "whose been triggered the most" competition. One of the three great evils in the world was "white privilege." There were a few teachers who argued with her, and apparently most of her sessions just turned into arguing matches. For my particular session the lady claimed minorities cannot be racist (ah yes, that old gem). And a white teacher spoke up saying he had been called cracker etc multiple times. And a pointless argument ensued. I rated the class really poorly and said it was way too politicized. We'll see if they bring her back next year.
