PSN server issues

How late at night? I'd expect some issues if we're talking 2am onwards as it's the best time to carry out work, but if we're talking prime time like 8pm, then yeah, sucks.

that's a good point. Maybe their servers are just overloaded but I would expect some kind of communication with their customers regarding the outage
 
Honestly, I'd prepare for it to get a lot worse before it gets better.

Christmas is coming up, there's guaranteed to be a huge influx of new owners and with how wonky PSN currently is, I expect something leagues worse than the infamous XBL outage of 2007.
 
right now my PSN is down

wouldnt show my PS+, and the store says it is under maintenance, unable to restore licence, but the trophy list is still accessible

was playing destiny on PS4 2 hours ago-.-
 
Everything is fine in Australia, my son is online right now playing garden warfare. Have you tried resetting your modem?
 
The real sad thing is if you look on the network status page it never, ever say's it's down nor does it state any real issue's with friend's list etc. I would urge everyone with a twitter account to start posting to @playstation @askplaystation maybe some other Playstation exec's. So these PSN issue's can take some notice. I tried and what I got back from @askplaystation was the normal try restarting your router nonsense. I really wish Playstation would have some of their network team available on twitter etc.
 
It's odd that it seems selective in who its down for. A friend is sending me an invite, yet I cannot join since it says I don't have plus.

i think, that something like a login-server for plus accounts is down besides the store. People who logged 1-2h ago on are in and still use the plus features. The others can't access/login.
 
psn is so awful, why can' they get their shit straight? especially now that PS PLUS is required they could try to fix it with all that money
 
Again I've been seeing so many of these topics the last few days. Right now I'm able to log in. US here.

Might I suggest instead of creating topics everyday that we make one topic and direct our efforts to Twitter and tweet Shu and other Sony execs about this.
 
UK here, and I can't sign into the webstore at the moment. Fails each time.

Bad enough I can't grab DC, but I can't get any other PS+ games either :D

They do have a minor status mage you can access via the website but it's not as extensive as Microsoft.

It hasn't been updated yet with issues for that matter either.
 
Ah so that's why Destiny was having a shit fit and telling me I needed PS+ even after restarting/signing back in.

Not that, I accidentally left my console on last night and it was still logged in to Destiny this morning. Panic ensued when multiplayer components were greyed out.

My partner could log in and play just fine on their US account, but that has now gone the same way as mine. I presume they're shutting PSN down so it can be fixed. Seems to have started in EU however.

I'd say with almost certainty that his modem is not the problem.
 
Can't connect to ea servers, destiny won't recognize ps plus, store down...... Ugh


Also garden warfare is NOT working I cannot connect to ea servers in any EA game..... I'm in spain
 
Surprise Maintenance. They are getting the servers ready for 2.0

Hopefully the new proactive, proconsumer Sony entertainment will tell us how they plan to improve the service soon because the last few weeks have not been good.

Since I've got my ps4 I've barely touched the xbox one, but xbox live with its better voice codec and stability is really much better for online gaming. Shame that the xbox console UI is not so optimal. I'm in the beta for software updates there, and it's hit and miss whether my friends' activities load on the dashboard or not.
