I cannot play any multiplayer on my PS4, whether it be Destiny, TLOU or Battlefield because my PS Plus membership isn't being acknowledged. The symbol is still next to my PSN name on the dashboard UI.

The one thing I miss about the XBL environment is the generally stable network. PSN can be absolutely abysmal with regards to arbitrary downtime and slowness.

Honestly, I'd prepare for it to get a lot worse before it gets better.

Christmas is coming up, there's guaranteed to be a huge influx of new owners and with how wonky PSN currently is, I expect something leagues worse than the infamous XBL outage of 2007.

I've had this exact fear creeping into my head. I've been planning on buying Advanced Warfare on my PS4, but I've begun reconsidering that because of outage fears.

Here in the UK PSN won't let me play FIFA 15 on PS4 despite everything appearing normal (I'm logged into both PSN and the EA Servers). Says there is a network error. PSN has been horrific ever since I got this PS4 and I'm not even that into my multiplayer gaming.

Sony really fucked up with the way they handle licensing on PS4

For example I can play FFXIV, FIFA, and any other digital game (including PS+) on my PS3 no problem. None of them work shit on PS4. It's pathetic. Keeps saying they can't connect to server to verify the license. Why should they even need to verify license on my primary system? Honest to god it's a massive step back from the way PS3 handled it.

Imagine a month outage on PS4 a la PS3? I played several digital games during that month on PS3. I'd be shit out of luck with PS4's backwards ass system

PSN has been fine for me, but I'm not one of those people who ignore that other people are having issues becase I know once I log out I am going to be in the same boat.

PSN has become gradually worse since the launch of the PS4 and I don't understand why that's the case. Nothing has changed, it's doing nothing more than it was previously.

Destiny launch seemed to go OK but Driveclub is basically a nightmare online and I assume there's a PSN issue somewhere with that as well. CoD launches soon and if the network can't handle it, then there's going to be a lot of pissed off people.

Also, there's a sub now, no excuses.
