I have no idea I tend to avoid toxic places like that but sometimes it is hard for me to refrain from correcting fanboys.
When a conversation is possible with them I'll keep talking with them because it is sometimes interesting but those too obtuse to understand a diferent opinion are put on ignore instantly.

The sales care because in that way is more possible to get good games in that platform, I mean the
Devs go where they can get more value for its product or even optimize more that version, look the firsts
years of Xbox 360 or the life of PS4.
The BC is good but I in the personal I don't care for a couple of reasons:
1.-I don't have time to replay games which I just finished when I barely can play all the new games or
games which I never played before.
2.-If you have a disc your BC is most of the time a download a version compatible with the system, so not
BC for hardware. So if you plan is replay in many time after you bought it, still need the company to have
that version in their servers.
3.-I don't buy a console to play the same games I finished in the current or an old console. The same with
a PC, I don't plan to buy a 3080-3070 to play again Starcraft 2 or Far Cry 5.
Is good to have BC but if that is your main reason then you choose the wrong of platform, in that PC can
give more flexibility or if you are more purist you probably prefer the play in the original hardware.

I'll be a bit less active during the week for a bit. A massive amount of work to do on a company project. I'm just hoping to catch the really important updates about price and pre-order. Once I know that stuff is going live, I'm going to be putting some of my work on slow-complete mode until one is secured.

But that's the problem with them they've been mass reporting people contradicting their lies,creating fake insiders (like tommy fischer and maybe Osiris Black i'm not sure about him), spread the 9Tf lie, the overheating etc.....

Keeping it fair, didn't TF say PS5 was like 13TF. There were a lot of negative and positive rumors about both systems, still many out there as a matter of fact.

i'm glad a lot of games i wanted have their remaster version, but there are still other that don't have remaster, so i have to play them on PC (i just don't like playing on PC, but when is no choice, there isn't lol)

Keeping it fair, rumor that PS5 is 13TF is just a rumor, a speculation before official specs were revealed ( 13TF rumor wasn't claimed by one man, though ). But claiming that PS5 is a 9TF AFTER official spec reveal and overheating crap....well, that's totally different

I get it in the short term cause it eases the transition. Just to be clear, I think its cool when systems are backwards compatible. Its a nice perk. If all systems are in the future, thats great. Its just not that important to me.

Best 2007 game was GOW2 easy for me. Would restart a new game a finish it again each day, for like 20 days straight. This game was so insane, and pretty much perfect in all areas of its genre, it was insane how it was running on a 7 years old PS2 hardware!! A lot of people know Cory with GOW PS4 but don't know it's actually not the first masterpiece he directed, but actually the 2nd masterpiece he directed.

btw, $500 might not be possible anymore. MS at hotchips said that their APU chip, RAM and SSD are all more expensive than the $500 x1x which was sold at a loss.
Expect $549 minimum, $599 max just because of that.

yeah, thats how i perceived it too.
the xsx will be $200 cheaper than whatever the xbox ends up being and the ps5 digital will be $100 cheaper. MS better hope that the xsx is $499 or a $399 or even a $349 lockhart going up against the $399 DE is going to look really bad. Basically, MS has to hope that the PS5 Physical is at least $499-549 or they are fucked.

I'm not sure higher pricing is what MS was actually saying or preparing the masses for. Though of course they can price the thing at whatever level they like, I think the point of that slide was that costs have risen with the new node etc (obviously) but the usual things that cost reduced over time (like RAM) had slowed/stopped and this explained what they did to mitigate it and cover the extra cost of the silicon. Using the SoC in Azure is another huge cost saving here too. That was my take anyway...
But lets see. Microsoft are seemingly in a tough spot right now and having the highest price would just take the biscuit....
