Why is it 11 years though? Should be 2011-2020 (1 through 10 is 10, 1 though 11 is 11; we're talking the most basic of math here). Also why is Battlefield 1 on there instead of Battlefield 4 which many believe to be the best BF?

I decided to go with the ones I enjoyed the most at the time. There are games that stood on various stronger pillars (the narrative excellence of The Last of Us and Uncharted 4, the world design of Spider-Man, the wordless storytelling of Journey, etc). But these were the three I remember getting completely lost in until I finished them - never got bored with them, didn't take long breaks away from them, and discussed them endlessly online.

This is obviously such an easy win for Driveclub that I had to give other games a chance at winning.

It's mad to me that no Dark Souls games make my own top 5. Sekiro and Bloodborne raised the bar in terms of my enjoyment of their games. That studio plays a huge part of why I keep up to date with gaming news in general and still spend my money on consoles and games. Huge shout out to them. They easily have 3 games that could legit be the game of the decade to me. If they don't exist, my interest in whole is massively reduced and I'm probably leaning heavily into retro games.

Witcher makes my list on the strength of the amazing DLC. All packaged together, shockingly good.
