Yes... a Chinese developer went all the way to Square Enix in Japan, infiltrated the studio to steal animation data for their game to take back to China.

That's a real thing that apparently happened....

There's not a lot of accessible press (Gematsu has some of the news releases but wasn't there obviously) or fan coverage. Most of the relevant breaking news was posted view via PlayStation China Hero Project disclosures:

That boss fight looks ridiculous, not in a good way. Screen is overloaded with effects, AOE of attacks are too big, most of the time I didn't even understand what's going on.
