its been releasing a ton of games at a steady pace.

This is also coming soon:

While true to an extent, if compared to its VR competitors platforms, they are aren't there yet. Meta is dumping games on us left and right, same with PC.

Edit: and without a larger user base, 3rd party devs will view it as an afterthought.

Its still releasing a ton of games regardless, you can argue promotion has been lackluster, proper triple A devs aren't working on it and it hasn't given it hype. But games? its getting a steady flow of good games.

Lower the price, backwards compatibility with PS4 software and have a pipeline for software so people don't feel like they bought a toy.

If this is truly the case, they need to do a better job at getting this info to potential customers eye balls.

Is your line of thinking that the lack of non-game software hurts its perception? Correct me if I am missreading you.

Correction, I want everyone to not feel like they bought something that gets used once or twice then left. VR2 just seems like such a bizarre launch considering that hardware isn't backwards compatible with previous software

Yes, a blunder of larger significance than many give it credit for. The lack of BC was deflating when I heard it confirmed before release. Seriously took my hype level down considerably.

3 months of Evil Angel included with each VR set.
They don't even have a VR client!!! You could do better, try again.

Make some proper fucking games.

Full length. Decent narrative. No more ‘experiences’. More Alyx/CotM type games.
They don't even have to be VR exclusives. Gow conversion that lets you throw that axe around. TLoU2 conversion would look amazing and be an intense thrill ride.

They just need one game that doesn't become obsolete for the user after hour 20.

Half Life Alex ain't gonna get it done.

Get a gaming PC, it's a great idea regardless.

But unfortunately, this mod was taken down by Rockstar. This is why I want the PSVR2 version (badly).
What do you mean "taken down"? A mod is not something RS can take down.

Slash the hardware price by $150, and put the games lineup under subscription service. Aggressively discount the games for purchase.

Do you currently have a pc headset, or a stand-alone that you connect to the PC?

I think it would benefit Sony long term to open up their platforms a little. As long as they produce compelling software, they would still ensure strong software sales through their ecosystem.
I don't. Never used any kind of VR in my life.

But If I want buy one I will choose Psvr 2 if it can use on pc. Because I can use for both ps5 and PC. Ps5 has some good exclusives like GT7, Re4 Remake,..

The handful of big games are of high quality from what I understand. I only ask because a good network and a $150-$180 used Quest 2 can give you a relatively awesome PCVR experience. Quality VR games are really starting to flow into SteamVR if you already own a capable PC.

Thanks for suggestion but I'm in no rush for VR gaming. I don't even have much time for playing games anyway lol.

Your are in a situation where your have never tried VR, so I can understand your perspective. I promise you though, VR experiences, in general (not just gaming), are some of the most impactful entertainment experiences you can have in your home.

In saying that, your VR abstinence is going to allow a scenario where your first VR experience will undoubtedly be more immersive and enjoyable than it would have been a few years ago. This is due to the hardware and software having time to mature.

Edit: I want to add, not to take anything away from console VR, there is no better device on the market for a first time VR user than a Quest 3. The breadth of its capabilities and use cases, bridge the gap between the Quest 3 and PSVR2 computational differences.

It needs some decent fucking games. Yes RE4 is coming but outside of a couple games that dropped around launch, there hasn't been anything for me personally. Firewall Ultra is a massive turd and one of the ones I was looking forward to and there's nothing really on the horizon.

It was dead on arrival. No BC, no wireless connection and lack of first party games killed it. Expecting console gamers to pay more than their consoles for such experimental technology isn't quite realistic too. There is no turning back I guess.

I guess I just don’t know why Sony is half assing their handling of VR. It’s like they’re too afraid to fully commit, but still want their foot in the door.

I see what you're saying, but I wouldn't necessarily describe it as half-assing.

Sony missed the boat on motion controls even though they came out with the EyeToy and they saw the Wii flourish as a result.

Sony wants to make sure they are on the ground floor when it comes to VR, but they aren't going to put all their eggs in the basket like Meta Quest.

So to a degree, you're right. They have their foot in the door or some toes in the water.

Eurogamer said there were 111 PSVR2 titles in development. I still think we're going to see Sony's ultimate push for VR is standard games with VR modes rather than just VR games. I think that is where they have leverage that Meta Quest doesn't really.

I do think that ultimately the PSVR3 will be wireless and I do think they'll eventually have PC support with either PSVR2 or PSVR3. I think the biggest question at the moment is how much the PSVR2 actually costs to produce including R&D. Assuming the device is sold at a profit, it would have made more sense for it to have PC support day 1, but Sony has always had a problem with synergy and big picture planning.

I think PSVR2 will get a price cut, some key bundles: GT7 w/logitech wheel, RE4. And we'll see if it gets support for games like Cyberpunk, Red Dead, and GTA.

If you look at the games it got within its launch year, I would say it's out to a decent start, but it will have to pick things up. I also think PSVR2 could get a boost from PS5 Pro. I also think Sony has probably keyed in on VR as a platform now, so we should see some cross-compatibility with PSVR2 and PSVR3.

Drop the price by at least $150, and I'll finally bite...
If my tax return is somewhat decent. lol

Valve isn’t likely to bring Alyx to PSVR2. They’ve got their own ‘Deckard’ VR headset in the works and they’d be silly to weaken their launch.

Sony needs to start adding PSVR 2 titles to Plus Extra games. It’s a no-brainer move, and I’m surprised they haven’t done that.

I think they’re losing the battle to Quest 3 and their position would worsen when Valve shows their hand. Smart move would be to discount the hardware, bundle games with the headset and consider allowing PC use.

- Drop the price
- Make it fully compatible with PC with official support, port over the few exclusive games like Horizon.
- Make more games, and make them feel like proper full games and not short "experiences". Makes games that feel like must play experiences which are only available in VR
- Add VR games to Ps+ extra

The demand for VR just isn't there. i'd just give up on it commercially right now. maybe keep researching ways to make it smaller.
I realize I am comparing it to a product from a saturated market, but Quest 3 alone sold better than Apple Airpods on Amazon during black Friday. I'm a VR enthusiast and even I was surprised at its strong showing. I think the demand is there for the right product. This is just from my point of view of course.

Edit: Meta moved more than 230,000 Quests on Amazon during black friday.

It's real fucking simple..

1. Cut the price by £$100+, it's far too expensive for pretty much your entire market except for us loaded cunts.

2. Open up the video/browser capability for the porn fans and those of us with large 3D Blu-ray collections that would kill to sit back and enjoy an immersive 3D cinematic experience, I'd fucking love to watch Gravity again on an imax sized screen with 3D spatial audio over the headphones.

3. Throw as much as it takes at Valve to port Alyx.

4. Throw as much as it takes at R* to port GTA5 & RDR2.

5. Bundle your price cut with a free copy of AstroBot remastered and exclusive 1st Level demo of AstroBot2 (if you aren't balls deep in development of AB2... Shame on you Sony ya shower o cunts!)

6. Wipeout Remastered please

7. RE7 Remastered please

8. Fuck it just buy Capcom and make them just port everything

More impressive big-budget games, "Half-Life: Alyx" ported over to PS5, price cut, open the device to be used with PC VR Gaming
