My dilemma as F2P: Sitting with nearly enough primos to trigger soft pity. C6 Ningguang & Ganyu are my two main DPS units...though I really haven’t done much with the Abyss. (Supports / sub dps options include Zhongli, Childe, QiQi, C6 Barbara, C4 Bennett, C3 Xiangling, C3 Fischl, and the traveler I have all the 4* characters other than Rosaria & Yanfei, but some are more invested than others.)
- If I pull on the weapon banner before the patch, both of the 5* weapons offer Crit rate, which is really useful for someone who doesn’t buy the battle pass. (Not lost on me that both weapons correspond to my main DPS characters, though I have a Skyward Atlas for Ningguang.) Dual Crit rate weapons are the only time I even consider the weapons banner.
- I would like to get Zhongli to C6 in the long run, so his barrier has a healing effect. I’d actually like to field a full Archon team, so Zhongli being able to double-up as support & burst dps would be useful. His C1 is super-minor, but it’s a step in that direction. It may take 3-5 years, given how infrequently his banner will run, but I’m fine with a long-term goal. Having a new, fire character on the banner makes passing up a new 5* a little easier.
- I do not have a claymore user that I like, so I see some value from Eula. That said, she’s not displacing Ganyu as a main dps character, and running Ganyu, QiQi, and Eula together doesn’t seem like the best use of resources.
...or I could hoard primogems until the next must have, Ganyu-tier character comes around.

I find over-hoarding eventually makes you get bored with the game that you're hoarding in, so I just roll when it suits me. You sound like you have a team that you like, there's no harm in building towards Zhongli C6. The next banners are going to be some mix of Zhongli -> Eula -> Klee -> Kazuha so if you don't want any of the other ones, that leaves plenty of time to save up after Zhongli banner ends. C1 is a good upgrade for him, especially since you use Ning. You can have 3 constructs all resonating together for some really nice Geo DoT (his little resonate thing also makes nearby constructs from other characters like Geo MC, Ning, Albedo resonate). His C2 makes him very viable in co-op, but isn't really a must have if you don't do co-op often. Still, it's building towards his C6 which is just nutty good. If you want to remove Qiqi for a pyro character, you can make Ning a Prototype Amber and she's actually a really good healer. Her burst only costs 40 energy, so you're constantly getting heals. With Zhongli's shield, Qiqi is probably overkill anyways. Zhongli/Ning/Ganyu/Bennett is probably the Major League Gaming™ setup, if that's what you're going for.

I would agree on this. It's a lot "cheaper" to spend $10 on the BP and get a good 4 star plus a decent amount of other resources (assuming completion of the BP, which is relatively easy) than spending wishes on the weapons banner.
The weapons banner feels like it was designed exclusively for big spenders. Low spenders and FTP should probably avoid it.

IMO F2P should just stick to the blackcliff weapons. It's not worth spending money just to get some weapons, of which there're several free options as well.

With Zhongli's being re-run so soon, I think we'll see almost everyone re-run before the 1st anniversary/end of the year.

So the battle pass thing (and now I feel like an ass for complaining about it), I buy the $10 one each month on each of my accounts.
They are adding furnishings to the $20.00 BP unlock along with the name card.
Are they are tying to “sweeten the deal” by adding an additional item to the expensive unlock while also making it more difficult to complete the BP?
(full disclosure I have not read all the patch notes yet...so I don’t know what they added to the weekly BP runs)

I wonder if, after a year, they'll add some of the limited 5*s to the standard banner. It seems like Childe/Albedo have a good chance to end up like that. Characters that didn't set the world on fire.
Honkai is getting ass-reamed by CN """"fans"""" and the CCP right now in addition to the crazies plotting to assasinate them. MHY just went through and pulled a bunch of yuri references from their Honkai manga because last month the CCP recognized homosexuality as a mental illness, and the CN fans pissed about the bunny girl thing were reporting them for the lesbian stuff too, trying anything to get them in more trouble.
I bet Tencent is eating this shit up.
I'm 99.999% sure we're eventually going to have guns, scythes, and fist weapons as weapon types. Probably 2.0 will be the introduction of at least one new type. It only makes sense to make people spend more money on weapon banners because hot character 2.0 will come out and only use guns, and you can't use the 3* guns, right??? That won't 2 minute clear abyss 12-3!
The only way I could see that they wouldn't do that is if they add them as elemental skills, kinda like Childe using daggers and a glaive in his elemental skill transformation mode. One way makes them extra money, and the other way doesn't, though, so I think it's easy to see how it will go.
The $20 BP will have extra stuff, I think right now it only has the namecards, but if you buy it, you instantly get a shitload of BP points that put you somewhere between 1/3 and 1/2 done with it directly from the start. Now they're "sweetening" that by having a recipe. It's gonna piss me off if that's the only way you can earn that recipe though, I don't feel like that should be used for exclusive stuff, other than namecards I guess, but who cares about those.

Yeah, for sure. I don't think the likes of Zhongli/Ganyu/Xiao will come to the standard banner anytime soon, but once they're re-run enough I can see them just adding them to the overall rotation. Maybe they'll do the same with the weapon pools, as well?
At the very least, $30 5 star pick tickets will be introduced for anniversary's. A lot of the big mobage are doing them.

Yea I expect we'll see either 5* selectors OR a universal constellation item for 5*. Personally I'd rather have the latter, because a selector is going to be from a fixed pool of characters that you can pick from, where you could just hold on to the universal constellation until you have a character you really want to use it on. Honestly, I was hoping we'd see them already by now, with how ridiculously successful the game has been. They've been VERY cheap with rewards in general considering the success they've had.

I found this interesting, just an update on the whole MHY China controversy.
Personally, I think it's looking more and more like a coordinated hit on MHY. Be it from wack-a-doodle fans, the CCP, or even Tencent trying to use any moment of weakness to bring them down a bit. I wouldn't have thought so originally with the reasoning behind taking down the bunny video, but now it seems like they're latching on wherever they can and just trying to make the company burn. They're making "fuck you" money from Genshin right now though, so I'm not sure all of this is going to have any long lasting effects.
Also found it interesting in the comments that MHY recently started up a porn animation studio in Japan. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Sad that it's come to that and it's absolutely ridiculous. Good to know people are opposing them, but it's crazy how much power they have.
I still don't think anything will happen to Genshin though and neither with Inazuma. Simultaneous launch prevents a lot of dumb reasoning because everything has been equal and fair game. Honkai will probably continue to face such issues and hopefully they'll eventually give up.

No, it doesn't seem to sync what you've already discovered, like treasure chests. That would have been really useful.
It does sync your user-placed map pins, but that isn't working for me at the moment, it just keeps trying to sync.

I can confirm that they do spawn there. It can be a single one or a cluster along with magic crystals.

Wow, the AoE for his burst is HUGE. The kit is much less exciting than it sounded on paper though. Especially his elemental skill.
Sheathing animations are cool, and more games should have them, but I don't see anything that would make me pull for Kaz.

He can probably do plunge attacks after his E and his ult is just Anemo Ganyu burst.
But if you have Xiao he will be rather pointless since Xiao is the better plumber.
All in all this guy is a huge skip. Plus he looks just like Aether.

I was hoping he would have some kind of anemo swirl "cleanse" like Jean, but he looks more like a mix of Venti and potentially Xiao (plunge attack off his elemental skill).

His swirl seems less like Venti's constant swirl and CC, and more like Sucrose's who does the pulses a few times. Not nearly as OP as I originally envisioned it based on the text we had. The field is big, which is nice for those enemies that tend to get hit out of the area or run out like the big shield dudes.
Either way, easiest pass since Albedo for me.

Xiao don't do betters to plumber. Is his elemental burst that change the way he can make plumber attacks. Without the jump boost Xiao never could make plumber that easy in the first place.
Venti on the other hand can make wind flow to make plumber attacks viable for everyone.

Finished Ganyu's Character Story today... well yesterday. Really liked it and was surprised how lengthy it was. I kind of wish they included this in the main story or made it essential to do before you finish the Liyue Chapter since it'd help in fleshing out a small part of the Qixing that got shafted.
Hopefully Part 2 soon since Zhongli's came so quickly.

Hope his final form out of beta is a little more...active. I had hoped good things after the primovishap boss was pretty much on your ass the whole fight. Most enemies in the game aren't aggressive enough.

This is why MHY went against leakers so bad the last time. They can severely shift the way a character looks just by playing badly or not showing certain parts of the kit, and MHY has no control over how it's released.
It makes me mad that they bother to get this beta build working in their dev sandbox, but then kill him in like 20 seconds before you even get to see most of the moves in his kit.
