Man, I don't really like Em's new stuff, but just reading some of the old shit he came up with is pretty crazy. Definitely one of the greatest rappers of all time.

pretty much not disputable. dude took words and twisted them, fucked with them, rhymed them like jimmy hendrix fucking with a riff on his whammy bar.

It's almost impossible for me to choose. I just love all of his work so damn much. His Forever verse blew me away the first time I heard it, since he just absolutely destroys everyone else on that track. I also really love the last verse of My Dad's Gone Crazy:

I kid. I love Em. His verse in Beautiful is my favorite but Fastlane has some of the best rapping he's done in the last 7-8 years.

If you were 15, then of course it would be bangable. The rule for societal etiquette in the teens is +- Age is okay. So 14-15-16 are all okay to get fucked by a 14-15-16 year old. That said, if you wanna be a little older, go for it; I don't judge.

There are so many...as this thread proves. He really is a fantastic writer. Sometimes I will be listening to a song for the 14th time, and only then does it really click. My problem is that I kind of need the lyrics in front of me to fully understand it a lot of the time.

don't you mean his last two albums were terrible(relapse and encore), and he needed to boost his public perception that he can make hit singles again?

he never did a fat joe/ja rule song(verses, with girl singing hook) until those two albums didnt sell as well as he thought they would.

e: i apparently pulled that out of my ass, it went 4x and 2x platinum. goddamn.

my fave em song to this day is still "i'm shady" off the slim shady lp

as for her father: the dude has so many rhymes that flow perfectly its insane. I don't think he has a lot of meaningful lyrics like GZA, Rakim, and the like but he doesn't really need it with his word selections and such.

His wordsmithing and ability to make rhymes where none should exist without the combination of the beat or the flow of the song are truly on a level very few can say to have been on. I fucking love the English language, and his (occasionaly perverse or extension) use of it never ceases to amaze me, regardless of the topic he is banging on about. The OP is full of tight examples of this, and just reading them brought a smile to me.

As others have said, sometimes it's not until I've listened to the song a few times before a particular verse clicks, but when it does it's a pure moment.

This is why I love Eminem. While everyone else is making a bunch of clever metaphors and similes, he is creating vivid poetry.

I've been listening to the Bad Meets Evil album (the one most recently). Em kills it in almost every song. It might be some of the best I've heard from him, at least technically.

Surprised "Drop the World" hasn't been mentioned yet. His best verses are between that and:

Lose Yourself
I am
Renegade
No Love
Forever
Not afraid

He is really at the top of his game because his verses in the recently released songs have blown me away much more so than previous albums. For him to do that after being in the spotlight for so long adds to the talent he has.
