Not yet, but it's highly likely that I will at some point. It is nowhere near my most hyped game this year, but I'm not missing what is likely to be the largest entertainment production any of us will ever see. I'll be there rain, sun, or snow to either marvel at the spectacle or laugh at the chaos.

Nope. There's literally no reason to do so with digital goods. Unless there's some preorder initiative in place, some special in-game content or something. I'm more inclined to preorder physical products that will be limited.

i know 7 people now who have. Fucks sake this shit isn't going to sell out. The fuck you giving them all this money 5 months in advance for.

Besides the graphics I have no basis to judge this game to pre-order it.

My largest grievances with Rockstar Games are their aiming method, even if you adjust in the options free-aim sucks ass and that's why their default has been the pseudo/light auto-aim in their games, even their dedicated cowboy simulator.

Another reason. We know nothing about it beyond a few screenshots and the small trailers we got. I need pure and unadulterated gameplay without too much scripted events to make an informed opinion of how much better this plays to GTA V or RDR2.

Third reason. The whole focus on social media and influencer culture I saw in the previews and the supposedly leaked impressions reinforce that I should be skeptical of this entry until further informations comes to public. We are less than 5 months from release and we barely know anything about this game.

Final reason. Pre-ordering digital goods that don't go scarce is just stupid.

No. I don't see the point in pre ordering a digital game 5 months before it's due to launch if they're not offering any benefits for doing so. I.e, early access or in game currency etc.

I couldn't care less about outfits or hairstyles.

Nah. No reason to preorder a digital game months ahead of time. Besides, I'm basically paying for this with reward program points I get through my health insurance, and I won't have the final routine reward points until October. Then I'll use all my accumulated points on PSN gift cards and get the Ultimate Edition for only $15 out-of-pocket.

WTF did I just read?

Of course I pre-ordered, because I'm worried they're going to run out of all them downloadable ones and zeros. Absolutely retarded, especially with no pre-order bonus.

As a PC only gamer, no I can't pre-order GTA 6.

More generally though, I don't pre-order any games at all, and I mostly avoid buying games in early access too. In today's digital software world I just don't see the point in buying a game early? In the past when games were distributed on physical media (with limited supply) pre-ordering had a place, but today its just unnecessary in my opinion, unless there is a large price discount for pre-ordering. 🤔

I'd much rather wait to see how the game turns out and read player reviews before buying anything.

Preordering digital games is dumb.
It's not like the game will be sold out so it doesn't make any sense

It's about the downloadable extras you get under pre-ordering, not so much as it being 'sold out'. And I it's unknown if you can obtain them in-game at any point.

Sam's Club had a deal on Playstation Store gift cards. $85 for $100 Playstation Store credit. Picked one up and applied it towards the GTA VI Ultimate Edition. I'm pretty sure I wasn't going to buy anything else on PlayStation this year, so why not.

No reason to do it, I was really exited to watch trailer 3 alongside the pre-order but honestly, there is literally not point in preordering this right now.

If i cant find a discounted preorder, I'm probably gonna give saros to gamestop for a discount on wolverine and then use wolverine for the same purpose to buy gta6.

Heh.

My health insurer (Humana) has a rewards program (Go365) where I earn rewards points for routine health care stuff. Annual physical, annual colonoscopy, flu shot, annual diabetes screen, that kind of crap. I can trade reward points for gift cards, but most of their options suck like Starbucks or Panera Bread gift certificates. But they offer PlayStation e-gift cards as an option.

So by October I'll have enough reward points banked for 4x$20 PSN cards and 1x$5. My insurance is basically bankrolling my future video game felonies. 🤣

What is that, like putting credit on an EBT card that you should use as food stamps but instead use it on video games???

It's just a rewards program for doing routine health care visits. It's not something I am supposed to use only on health care stuff, which is what I think you're alluding to.

I can use the rewards on anything in their redemption shop, which includes both PSN and NSO gift card options. I'll post a few screenshots behind a spoiler tag, maybe that'll make more sense than trying to explain it.
