In a blog post revealing the game’s install size for each platform, the company claimed “new on-demand texture streaming tech” reduces the space needed by up to 50 percent compared to previous series entries on new-gen consoles and PC.

The following file size estimates include pre-loading and the disk space required to play the game:

• PlayStation 5: 64.13 GB download | 89.84 GB required space
• PlayStation 4: 54.65 GB download | 93.12 GB required space
• Xbox Series X/S: 61 GB download | 61 GB required space
• Xbox One: 56.6 GB download | 56.6 GB required space

Xbox has like no compression or something? Download size seems to be the same as space required. It’s not even series exclusive since it’s the same with one.

I think that it has more to do with fact, that Xbox is not doing any "unpacking" after download like PlayStation, which also requires a certain amount of space on disc. Xbox just downloads a game, and you are good to go.

Why is PS5 taking 20GB more space isn't it usually the compression on PS5 that's always the better filesize? also will this include warzone?

Its how the games are installed on Sonys machines vs MS machines.

did they ever give a reason why warzone with modern warfare installed was such a big install size? i ended up playing black ops 3 zombies as well the other day and even that was 150Gb with everything installed was pretty shocked
