I think it’s pretty clear there is a top three and a bottom three for Best Drama.

1. The Haidmaid’s Tale
2. Better Call Saul
3. The Crown

4. Westworld

5. Stranger Things
6. This Is Us
7. House of Cards

Personally I’ll be happy if any of the top three win, they excelled in story, directing and acting. Westworld is a definite Dark Horse. Stranger Things was merely above-average, nothing extraordinary about it. This Is Us, was the freshest thing on network tv in years, but that’s not a high bar to climb. House of Cards was absolutely abmysal, and shouldn’t have even been nominated with numerous other shows that could have taken its place.

Agreed with you on Stranger Things. I think some people are too affected by their real and/or imagined 80/90s nostalgia. :p But it was fun.

I think The Crown is an easy prediction to make for the win. Emmys and such are blinded by dem British accents.

If Stranger Things wins over Handmaid's Tale, I'll have a stroke. Maybe I'm being overdramatic, but I feel like that's the most likely chain of events if that happens lol

I only hope for two things:

1) The Handmaid's Tale sweeps.

2) That Lesli Linka Glatter fucking gets her Emmy. She should have gotten it a decade ago, she has worked on some of the most iconic television of all time (Twin Peaks, Mad Men, The West Wing, Freaks and Geeks, to name a few... seriously look at her credits they're insane). Just give her a fucking Emmy already.

The Handmaid's Tale is Hulu exclusive? They do original content?

Yep. They did the adaptation of Stephen King's 11/22/63 with James Franco, they got a couple good comedies (Difficult People, Casual), Chance with Hugh Laurie, and they're the home of the upcoming Marvel's Runaways. Hulu had a lot of really cheap shows before all that, they've stepped up their game in recent years.

Oh! And they saved The Mindy Project after Fox chucked it.

This is terrible. The one and only time one of these musical openers have been funny was when Hugh Jackman hosted the oscars.
