Also, so glad Amazing spider man isn't even on the list lol. It's my least looking-forward to movie of the year.

I don't anticipate movies so much. It's impossible to tell if they're any good until they come out. Synapses usually don't give good movies justice because, usually, they're not particularly interesting. It's all about execution and so it's wait and see for me.

Its like the directors of the world decided to hold a meeting and say this year will be the year. Goddamn it looks amazing after many lackluster years.

The two big ones for me are Promotheus and Skyfall, but there are at least 15 movies more I can think of that I want to see. I've been to the theaters some 4 or 5 times these past few years(Most just to see something after a bad day, rather than actual excitement). This year looks to be more along the lines of excitement.

I just realised why I've barely been excited for nor enjoyed barely any movies in the past few years - It's because all my favourite directors disappeared off the face of the Earth. 2012 looks a good year, in which mediocre nonsense like Prometheus and DKR will get shown up as being so.

Apart from at GAF, obviously, who'll treat them with undue reverence as per usual.

#1 - The Hobbit - A nice bonus is that it comes out on my birthday, December 14th :D

I would say TDKR, Prometheus, and Skyfall are probably next in line in terms of anticipation. My interest in The Avengers has dwindled over the last few months, but I'm still looking forward to it.

Jesus. This is a packed year. Is this a massive recovery year from the '08 strike?

Lincoln, Prometheus, The Great Gatsby, Les Mis, and TDKR would make most entire years.

Also, had no idea we were getting a Knocked Up follow up.

Everything else is case by case bases, not really a big movie buff.

Tim and Eric's Billion Dollar Movie should be top 10! So pumped for this year, lots of good movies coming. I'm looking most forward to Django, Moonrise, Cogan's Trade, and Lincoln.

Really had no clue this was being made. That trailer...this is my most anticipated movie of 2012 now. Can't wait to import it. Love in a Puff was probably the best (some what of a) romantic comedy I have seen in years.

FYI this is not the only film Pang Ho-Cheung has in store this year. He already shot another dark satire about HK filmmaking. Starring his good friend Chapman To. I went on set and what I saw was pretty darn funny.

The new Malick film was shot in Oklahoma, in a town where my grandparents used to live (and that I visited quite often growing up) no less.

I'm interested just for that, but also--it's Terrence Fucking Malick.

Even if half the good stuff gets pushed to 2013, it's still a better year by a couple orders of magnitude over 2011.
