Death animations from the bow arrows were pretty bad.
Not only that, i'm talking when he use the sword too, good luck on liking the same 4-5 death animation for 50 hours and thousands of enemies killed, ugh sucker punch are allergic to ragdoll technology...

I know it sound stupid, but they literally halved my hype for the game with the last gameplay trailer...especially after tlou2 and his absolute top tier death animations, gore, ragdoll and details.

Nah, I understand what you mean. Somethings in that trailer also drag me from the heavens a little bit but I'm sure the game is going to be 9/10 for me.
We just saw a tiny bit from the game ;)

Got days booked off for this.
Everything I've seen looks amazing the only thing I'm remotely concerned about is the sword combat.

I'm not expecting Sekiro levels of sword combat but hope that the mechanics feel good and offer an adequate challenge.

Well...Sekiro is much more "fantasy" take on Samurai, thats also includes the way the combat is. While Ghost of Tsushima os more between realistic and old style samurai live action movie.

Yeah and I hope the sword combat reflects this more realistic approach. Hopefully you can't just spam attack or block indefinitely.

Although Sekiro was set in a fantasy setting the sword combat actually felt a bit more 'realistic' as you couldn't just thrash around wildly or block indefinitely without your guard being broken.

Its much grounded compare something like DMC but I wouldn't call "realistic".

Here is my comparison:

Sekiro

Ghost of Tsushima but (less gory)

Yeah I meant realistic in comparison to something like DMC or NG.

I haven't seen either of those yet but have been meaning to start Blade of the Immortal. I intend to start it in July in the lead up to Tsushima.

I'm very much looking forward to it, as I've said before. I do have a couple concerns:

1. I hope that Jin is a relateable and sympathetic character, and that his story is interesting. So far nothing's really grabbed me; but then, I don't know a whole lot, either.

2. I hope the game has a little bit of levity. Everything I've seen so far seems very somber and serious. That's not surprising, given the source material, which generally contains lots of grunts and few laughs. Sucker Punch can handle humor, though (e.g., Sly Cooper), and I hope they sprinkle some of that into the game. They're clearly striving for a serious tone here, but I hope it's not all deadly serious.

I'm worried about side quests too!
I hope they don't copy the assassins creed formula.

Realistically katana's broke easilly/they were used as a last resort and samurai mainly used spears/bows on horseback.

Yep, this is true, spears are a lot safer as well.
Bows started getting replaced by matchlocks later.
It's the reason they rarely ever used shields, because bows and matchlocks require both arms to use.

I want to play the game, but I don't trust 'game journalists' to do their job after the rave review cocksucking they did for The Last of Us 2. I hope Sucker Punch has done a great job, but Naughty Dog has made me distrustful of any studio under Sony.

I'm looking to you Gaffers to help steer me in the right direction. Give my your input on whether Ghost of Tsushima is worth it.
Journalists got it right though. I hope Ghost of Tsushima ends up great too. 2 amazing games at the end of the generation. Sony is on fire

Completely missed this last week. Very hyped to play what has been my 2nd most interested game since E3 2018 and just hoping that it doesn't disappoint me.

Predicting 85 Meta. It will in no way shape or form be as good as TLOU2 but it'll be a solid open world game, beautiful to look at with a more fleshed out sandbox than Horizon. Combat is my biggest concern. It doesn't have to be Sekiro but it's gotta be challenging. Exploration of the map is the thing I'm looking forward to most.

As opposed to what exactly? Define pre-canned.
as hopposed to enemy having ragdoll an dying everytime in a different time, you know like most of modern games.

right now you have the same 4-5 death animations and believe me, when you are gonna slay hundreds if not thousands of enemies they are gonna become boring very fast.

there is even a gif when the enemy die and he glue on the terrain with half the body off of a near cliff, it looks ridicolous, it was exactly the same with infamous second son, a couple of precanned death animations and then the enemy would glue on the ground,, sucker punch are allergic to ragdoll in their games.

You'd rather have bland rag-doll animations rather than a nice series of composed animations? Okay.
