My launch pro hasn't been bad on TLoU:R to be fair. It kicks in at certain parts - the subway after Tess for instance. I noticed this because it's quiet fown there obviously. The bigger issue with the remaster for me was the lighting. With and without HDR, certain parts are just fucked. Not sure whether it was introduced with the HDR patch. Just sours the first part of the game as most is outdoors and adequately lit, messing with gamma and brightness helps but it affects the overall IQ. I only started again a couple of weeks ago so I assume it's the latest patch.

My Pro yells non stop. The game is so quiet so I can still hear the fan sound even when playing with headphones. My launch PS4 was much more silent while playing the remaster. But of course it didn't have 1440p.

Yes you're totally right about the implemation of HDR in that game. It's driving me nuts! Nights are grey and days are soft. Even God of War had pretty bad HDR.
I hope Ghost of Tsushima does it well.

I can see this falling right in line with a Days Gone as far as reception is concerned. Not fully appreciated right away, and haters saying that just because the flood gates of 10’s don’t open up for it , it’s “trash” and overrated, but SP delivers quality no question!

Hopefully just a solid 8 with a unique setting-what’s wrong with that? I honestly think SP will exceed grounded expectations.

I love the minimal HUD they’ve shown and the fact that the camera was not glitching/freaking out when the demo showed the horse cutting through the forest was a great sign IMO. I think this was done on purpose to show how smooth and stable the controls/camera are, well see in just a few weeks!

Sony is doing it every generation. There's such a quality output right before the start of new generation that there's just no doubt which console to buy.

And then there's just Resogun to play for a whole year.

This time though we'll have backwards compatibility again - so my backlog will come with me to new generation.

Yeah it's a strategy that has really worked for Sony and this time we'll have Spider-man Miles Morales, Kena and Ratchet and Clank in the 1st year

I want to play the game, but I don't trust 'game journalists' to do their job after the rave review cocksucking they did for The Last of Us 2. I hope Sucker Punch has done a great job, but Naughty Dog has made me distrustful of any studio under Sony.

This reminds me of Ready at Dawn case and The Order. Everyone superhyped about graphics and setting.... and then game comes out with shitty gameplay that only had graphics.

Nah, I thought the graphics were lacking in Order 1886 in several places, there were, of course, nice visuals but they were always there as a show-off right in front of you, but the moment you looked around it wasn't nearly as good. No reflections, very low resolution ground textures and others. What I like about Order 1886 is the time period, the themes and even the gameplay.

I love how console fanboys keep bragging about the exclusives the console they play on have but meanwhile PC has hundreds of more exclusives and a ton more variety of game types and genres.
Like congratz you've got a handful of good games that tbh are pretty overrated ( imo ) in the grand scheme of things.

Only game I am jealous of on the PS4 is Bloodborne and that's just one Souls games out of many most of which are on PC too.

This is my most hyped game BY FAR. I absolutely cannot wait to play the next adventure from the guys that gave us inFamous 2 (tornado summoning lmao).
I see tons of doubters and haters already, they cannot cope with it. At the same time so happy to see tons of people getting ready to play this day one. Fuarkkk I cannot wait.

The Twilight Samurai is one of the best Japanese films I've seen. Highly recommended. But don't go in watching it expecting an action film. It's a character drama that just happens to have a samurai as the main character.

The Wolverine is the second Wolverine solo film after the awful X-Men Origins: Wolverine. It's good, but not as good as director James Mangold's sequel to it, which was Logan. Sanada plays one of the bad guys and he does a good enough job.
