Ya the GPUs and processor are nuts. I daresay this is the most value conscious apple product at this event.

Might have gotten discounts from Intel and AMD. Both Xeons and Firepros are sold with insane profit margins. Firepros have very similar specs to Radeons because they are Radeons without the gimped compute performance.

The HDMI is just a secondary output -- the main video output is Thunderbolt (i.e. DisplayPort). Or are you just concerned about secondary output to a TV?

Secondary output to a household display is pretty vital to a video editor. Also, people should probably think about the DRM implications...

I don't think they are going to. It's legacy hardware tbh. There isn't a whole lot they want to do on that front.

No, it's exactly what it says. Anyone who is not a small child probably understands that the parts are not being manufactured in the United States.

My main point is that it is nothing to brag about. It is a good move though.

It is something to brag about. Most of the human abuse occurs at the assembly stage. People can assume/hope that the situation is a little better in the United States (not to mention the workforce boon).
