I'm expecting SE to slowly implement IAP type things into all of their games from now on.
I think people here are overreacting about things they don't understand.
This wouldn't be anything new, didn't Namco already do this for the Tales games?
Yeah just read the whole article nothing bad is happening.
What's the point of the SP stuff if you can just slide down to easy and plow through bosses and obstacles at any time?
bah.
microtransaction-like dlc ruined smtiv for me. pass.
oh and
The way some JRPGs flow so poorly (especially coveted PS1 era JRPGs), you could easily make mechanical upgrades to the various game systems without cutting any content to cut a typical completion time in half. That's certainly what it sounds like they did here, which is awesome, no game deserves seventy of my hours for bloat and poor design.
I'm not exactly sure why people are upset over this.
So they have a reason to sell those SP drinks. What's the point of the SP stuff if you can just slide down to easy and plow through bosses and obstacles at any time?

Bravely Second is a new feature that allows one to pause time in the middle of battles, using SP, and attack their opponent, according to a report in this weeks issue of Famitsu magazine. SP is gained while your Nintendo 3DS is in sleep mode.

Huh? It's completely ignorable in SMT.
Man, what I would give to have snes/psx era square back. Those were the days.
For non-marshmellow eating kids, sure. That's not me though.
It's one of the reasons Demon's Souls on PS3 was better than Dark Souls on PC for me, no way to cheat on PS3.
The hell does that mean, nothing was cut? What occupied those 40 missing hours?

S-E introducing one of the most heinous F2P monetization schemes in a retail title is rather depressing to me.There's absolutely nothing to be depressed about.
I wonder what this means for the next Theatrhythm. That seems like a game they could easy built around this.Yes yes, the game wasn't built around it, so it's optional. I know. For now.

Why are people moaning about 40 hours of grinding being cut?
Yeah it's the first step of inevitable step towards destruction. Now I'm wondering if FFXV will stay safe.S-E introducing one of the most heinous F2P monetization schemes in a retail title is rather depressing to me.
