Xbox One: "All In One. Input One." banner

is there a source for this?

Here's the issue with that - Most TVs have different settings for each input, right? Now, on most TVs you want Game Mode for playing games, but this makes the image uglier. So, you want different settings for gaming and TV.

But, when they're on the same input they're using the same settings. Just hitting "input" on your remote is easier than going through the hassle of turning off Game Mode and undoing any other settings you changed to compensate for Game Mode.

Not a terrible banner but the premise is flawed if you're incredibly geeky like me.

This is a very good point, that I hadn't thought about yet. I indeed have very different image settings for my game-console input than for the television or Blu-ray inputs.

My Sony home theatre system is actually "input one" on my TV.

I'm actually running out of spare HDMI ports on it, so if I ever got an Xbone (lol, not a chance in hell) it would actually be INPUT DVD

depending on tomorrow, that port will either be used for a PS4, or it'll stay unused. Depends on Sony's DRM.

Bend over and we will "Input One".
This is the last straw for me! I really love the Halo franchise and my 360. I was willing to give them a chance and pick up the XB1 day 1 but its clear to me now that MS have lost the plot and no longer know what they are doing. They couldn't be more out of touch.

One Box to rule them in your living room, One Box to find all your TV channels,
One Box to bring them all and in the living room bind them to Input One

Curve ball, they clearly want "our input before launch" that banner is not going to be the hook line of the next gen, they just want to gauge reactions.
Its smart.
