I came in here to post about how bad Diamonds is and I see you all gushing over it. The beat and lyrics are actually pretty good, but Rihanna's singing is maybe the worst I have heard yet. The pitches she uses are ridiculous.

At one point she sounds like she's trying to sound like an opera singer and go as deep as possible, and then the next she's sounding like Nicki Minaj going "shrine bright like a diamond". It's the way that she says "bright" that really bothers me. The tone of it is is that of a Minaj parody song. Fix those 2 things and I would be much happier.

Your Body officially debuts at #34 on the Hot 100.

Christina Aguilera makes the Hot 100's splashiest arrival, as "Your Body" soars in at No. 34. The lead single from Aguilera's fifth studio album, "Lotus," due Nov. 13, starts at No. 10 on Digital Songs with sales of 103,000, while approaching Radio Songs with a 17% gain to 16 million. On Pop Songs, the song ascends 33-28 (up 81%) in its second week. While "Not Myself Tonight," the first single from Aguilera's last studio set, 2010's "Bionic," entered the Hot 100 at a higher rank than "Body" (No. 23, where it peaked), it did so with a lower sales sum (77,000).

I had to watch a 30 second advertisement video before the player told me that the video isn't available in my location.
So pressed right now.

Youtube?

Also: We've talked before about which song in Rih's catalogue would be her most iconic. I think it's interesting that J.K. Rowling was inspired by Umbrella.

Mumford and Sons slay our faves it seems

Their banjo keeps strumming, and now Mumford & Sons have the year's biggest chart debut. The Glassnote Records folk-rockers' new album, Babel, will score a #1 album next week, with a total between 575-625k, besting Justin Bieber's previous best debut of 374k by what could be more than a quarter of a million units.

That's because Umbrella is her most iconic song, obviously. :)

It might be the recency effect, but I think We Found Love is a good contender to stick around as an iconic Rihanna song as well.
