Something to be said about a character who truly manned up, found a purpose greater than himself and became a Dad.

It's like your best friend who was a burnout who joined the military and came back a changed man. Dude truly had a heroes journey from start to finish.

My equal would be Nameless One from Planescape Torment. I feel like describing why ruins the storytelling but the "What changes the nature of a Man" rings deeply true to his character and the games theme. Just love everything about this game and I'd love a proper remake in an updated engine.

I think him and Kojima and proof why you need a writers room to reign your bullshit in.

Celine Song even talked about how she wanted a kiss at the end of the movie Past Lives but the writers beat her over the head (metaphorically obviously) to get her to understand how it undermines everything she wrote and to leave it with a platonic hug and a goodbye instead.

Druckman fired his and Kojima got everyone to indulge him and I still love Death Stranding but the fact no one questioned him about naming a character Die Hardman says it all lmao
