Funny enough in the end if I were starting a franchise and could pick my starting 5 Jordan is likely who I pick first with maybe Kobe second as they were natural born killers

Jordan's career, while putting up amazing stats, never saw success in the playoffs until he had Pippen too though

I think Lebron is still on my starting 5 of an NBA all time team

While not ideal I think my starting 5 all time would be Kobe, MJ, Lebron, Bird and Shaq

I only watched the last Knicks game but was surprised at how passive it was. It was like soccer just passing around in a circle. And calculated intentional fouls. Where are the drive rushes.

I remember back in the day people were bigger and more explosive and running like trucks barreling thru people.
 
The WNBA had attendance and viewership increases before Caitlin Clark came along (you can verify this)... The people who followed Clark and Reese to the WNBA only did so after they learned about their rivalry in college basketball and think no one watched before now. They were just LTTP

It's because it's a long distance game now where they pass it around and players launch 3 pters. The worst 3 pt team still gets 10 baskets per game and the top team avg 16 made. So youre talking 30-48 pts on avg per team.

Eyeballing the stats, a team's pts will be roughly:

50% 2 pt shots
33% 3 pt shots
17% FT

Olivia Miles, Azzi Fudd, Paige Bueckers, A'ja Wilson, Aliyah Boston, Napheesa Collier... I could go on. And the ones I named (other than Miles and Boston) all have commercial deals.

And those are just the ones I know off the top of my memories.

People only know Angel Reese because she has marketed herself to be attached to Caitlin Clark. She was lucky enough that Clark, who was already the biggest star in women's basketball (pro or collegiate) was in the same NCAA championship game as her. Without that, nobody would know her name. Nobody knows who the NCAA tournament MVPs were the year before and after Caitlin played in it.

Reese's biggest claim to fame is association with Caitlin Clark followed by popularizing the term "mebounds."

thats because no one thinks they can actually hurt each other. Like a girl catfight in the cafeteria, you just kinda let them tire themselves out and put on a fresh coat of make-up, no damage done.
