Funny enough in the end if I were starting a franchise and could pick my starting 5 Jordan is likely who I pick first with maybe Kobe second as they were natural born killersThe Bulls were mediocre before Jordon got there and had a terrible season before he arrived. I think about like this. If you took Jordon and put him in today's league, he would thrive. If you took Lebron and put him in yesterday's league, I do not think he has the career he has had. As you alluded to, these are silly debates and it is all hypothetical, but that is why I stick with Jordon when it comes up. (well aware I brought it up)
Jordan's career, while putting up amazing stats, never saw success in the playoffs until he had Pippen too though
I think Lebron is still on my starting 5 of an NBA all time team
While not ideal I think my starting 5 all time would be Kobe, MJ, Lebron, Bird and Shaq
