It doesn't look a minor in the country the devs are from.
The sexualized part is true (and that part has only one purpose - of course) - but it seems like most people have no issue with that in of itself?

Are you saying that because you've read reactions from Korean fans or are you just assuming that to be the case?

I have no issue with sexualised characters, none whatsoever. Sexualised characters that appear to be minors on the other hand... I do.

Well he is a content creator. He is just engagement farming for more participants and discussion for more monetization. And I said before , baby face are just common with Asians even at age 18 to 25 or even 30.

I lived in Asia (and Korea) for a substantial part of my life, and contrary to that meme of '18-49 ages all look the same' - they don't. Age markers exist just as they do in the West, you just need your brain to get used to them. The portrayal looks to be intended as someone in early to mid 20ies (stylized as it may be).

Now - international audiences will still react ofc, so devs should take note regardless - but controversy of this kind has rarely done anything but improve game sales, especially when IP is relatively small like this one.

For others with similar "arguments" but who arent trolls, Shift Up has MANY female devs. The company is owned by a married couple, being the wife also a character artist. So you are telling these Korean girls that you know better than them about what a Korean woman looks like.

The ignorance is just embarrassing.

Koreans who still know how to read write some Chinese have almost died out. Its all squiggles to me, and I was forced to learn some in school. Still can write my name in Chinese though...

This game is still 2 years from releasing, so some AI stuff may happen, that's the way it is. A different issue is what the final version will look like. We dont know wether it will be an intergen or next gen-only game.

I thought University students were eventually forced to learn it. Maybe it is only required for historians or similar?

Getting close! It isn't even the insane initial cost of top tier hardware. It's the not wanting to look at a windows desktop, the experience launching games, and fits and starts of updates/settings/"click ok to"

Some of this is being cleaned up, but not enough and new trade offs.

If someone had a universal "remove splash screens at launch" tool, it would probably be the biggest gain in game time possible given the environment.

Heck even Asians will sometimes mistake young adult Asian women for minors. Nao Toyama, a voice actress, shared a story about it. Kaori Maeda has also shared a few stories of being mistaken for a kid that Umamusume and 7-Eleven made a commercial poking fun of the running gag.
 
It interesting the whole AI slop thing, especially in a world where people pay others, some of which are some of the most uncharismatic and fake people I have ever seen, to watch them play video games and read their comments out on live streams and it's classed as "content" or "show".
