Its remedy animations, they also going for responsivenes instead of animation quality, they cant do both Their animations always looks kinda jank

Maybe it doesn't help that I'm not a massive fan of melee combat.

Animations are one of the few things you can't cheat with automated solutions and all the bells and whistles granted by modern tech. Good and responsive animations require talented animators.

These sort of devil may cry games have a very vocal base of enthusiast fans but they never really seem to blow the roof off in terms of popularity. But I don't have a basic problem with animations being skipped or cancelled in an action game.

Eh, not feeling it. I liked Control but this is even more weird and I kind of wish they kept ranged combat.

I think this will be great for what it is but just not my cup of tea.

I was a remedy fan before they went woke and would have bought anything blindly day 1 from them but I'm not feeling this one so far. And thanks to their wokeness this will be a sale buy at best.
