This is the first time. When was the last time you saw a series changing the protagonist from female to male?
Iirc, after Alan Wake 2 and the failure of Firebreak, they changed management, which decided to change the studio's paradigm and create more commercial projects. In other words, the changes are related to expanding the target audience.I applaud their courage on changing up the protaginist and the entire genre instead of doing a straight, safe sequel.
This is the first time.
They broke new ground!!
alan wake 2 also moved me from the 'remedy day 1' column to the 'wait' column...Wasn't a fan of the first, but at least they change the protagonist. IDK tbh, Alan Wake 2 ended up disappointing and I was hyped for that one. I'll wait on reviews.
Remedy's eagerly anticipated sequel is taking a bold new approach for its new protagonist.
If it makes you feel any better, this is nothing like Devil May Cry.The DmC gameplay doesn't grab me, lost interest.
Remedy never learns, who the fuck wants to play this zero charisma guy? Who is this? Compare him to Max Payne, cool detective with cool design and cool voice, it's like the devs are completely oblivious to anything cool.
At least they had Jesse in the first part, not like she was a great character, but at last she had cool visual design. And here? She looks goofy, with some weird clothes and hairdo, like wtf are you doing, why are you killing your game before release
I don't like man buns. That's just me. I see man bun in a game or irl and I'm out. I just want to avoid that person. Other than that he looks cool, but not with a man bun.Peoples whined about Jesse in the first game too! It's never ending!
What should he look like?

Because that's way cooler than anything Remedy has done so far for a protagonist.

THAT'S who Geoff Keighley reminds me of!
He's just a generic nobody with zero charisma judging by his voice acting, might as well give the option to create a custom character at this pointPeoples whined about Jesse in the first game too! It's never ending!

You can remove the man bun by changing outfits. You can also equip hats and stuff.
There's even a bald outfit if you pre order the game.
And that's basically saying nothing. I can go into every thread of games right now and state the same thing. Give me examples of what you want. What's your reference of a charismatic voice acting. Don't give me throat cancer types please.
And the video is basically less a half dozen lines of voice acting in the overworld. Not cutscenes even.
It's the same voice actor as as the original Control for Dylan.
Same voice actor that worked on Quantum break too. He's not new. If Remedy likes him, it's for a reason. Now to say that the voice acting is gonna stop peoples from playing a Remedy game (already niche) is a bit of a fucking stretch, don't you think?
