Graphical Fidelity I Expect This Gen

Im sure it has already been discussed but shit how disappointing is FF revelations graphics? What happened to them using UE5 for this because this is clearly UE4 ...

They had better at least get the asset streaming/pop-up figured out this time if they're going to rehash the same visuals.

I said this in another thread, but a handful of these games feel like they're being built for the Playstation 6...but the devs just won't (or can't) say that.

Far too much detail, far too much clarity, and almost all perfect lighting all around.

It does look impressive still, it has RTGI & Nanite foliage geometry with state of the art animation performance capture techniques. It had to run at 60 fps on a base PS5, a console from 2020, I know it's a demo, but still, even if the game for some reason targeted 30fps on it instead of 60, I'd wager they can (at least) rival the tech demo pretty handily with probably better visuals.
Witcher 4 looks so insanely good to my eyes. There's no way it will look like that at 60 fps on ps5 or Pro though. They're full of shit with that. How could it be that no games the whole generation have come close to those visuals in an open world at 60 all gen, even on Pro, only for a game to suddenly do achieve that? This is why im still skeptical of gta6.

I've played everything on console all gen, both regular and pro. As soon as you need 60 fps, the game no longer looks as good as what was promised. When dealing with a lot of in game complexity in a UE5 game or with rtgi/reflections on a different engine, nothing holds up to the trailers without some serious downgrades.

This show and Sony's recent show just showed to me how much Sony has dropped the ball. There's nothing in the pipeline for them that blows you away. All these third parties have better looking and more interesting universes than what they have. So many good 3rd parties knocking it out of the park.

It's funny, Ryse and Hellblade were exactly what came to mind when watching it. Blood Message has amazing graphics for sure, but how playable is it? Looks VERY scripted from everything I've seen, but hoping to be proven wrong!

did you guys know that the majority of the main devs of Laufey at Santa Monica came out and say in an interview, that GOW2018 was the first ever GOW game they played?
and did you know that Barlog apparently only oversees the projects and is not actively involved in Laufey?
That explains so much

That Chinese game looks a step above anything else shown. The tactical game à la ghost recon also looks fire.
Stellar blade has my attention with that World but it doesn't look as crazy as some make it seem here.
Suddenly, GOW doesn't look that crazy, eh!? :p

I just noticed something, suddently TW4 doesn't seem that impressive anymore, unless it avoids downgrades, add upgrades where it can until release and have much MUCH better gameplay this time around
my graphics list so far includes ILL, Crossfire and Veronica. and of course GTAVI
I never found W4 as impressive as alot here outside of the nanite foilage and the horse muscle sim (which isnt even guaranteed yet to be in the final release).

no it is perfectly possible this gen. you are only amazed by the level of density, I think. Go play The Ascent and you'll get a taste
Yeah its basicly nanite being heavily utilized in a kitbashed sci fi setting for once. (A best case scenario for the tech) and probably also uses nanite characters this time.

I thinks it about time all those 2020 posters claiming that naughty dog and the like would come up with there own nanite quality equivalents by 2026 to start eating crow.

Guys i need a fast advice, if i want to disable the xmp profile of my ram in my msi mobo, do i only need to disable the xmp profile or i also have to set the dram frequency manualoy to what it was originally? Or i can just disable the profile and it does everything automatically?

Also, can i just save and exit or i have to press f10 to save like the guide says?

I'm literalky inside my bios now and terrified of doing damage, please help my sorry ass :lollipop_grinning_sweat:

I had fun tonight, the kind of E3 fun I hadn't experienced in a long time
we have come a long way since

and

look down and enjoy the view people

I honestly think that both these tech demos still look absolutely fantastic and that the actual graphical prowess of both still isn't always met by modern games.

Disable it or set it to auto. Most of the times just leave things to auto or default

Then save and exit

Papito why do you touch these things if you dont know enough? Lol

I think i may have a ram related problem and i read on the internet that ue5 games are particularly sensititive to overclocked rams and mine is overclocked via xmp, before searching for new ram that would cost no less than 400/500 euros, i want to try all the methods...

How much performance do i lose at 4k going from 6000 to 4800 mhz?

Why do people keep talking about whether Blood Message gameplay has agency or not.....what gameplay? Like seriously that entire trailer is clearly jusf cutscenes. It even says story intro in the title.

Look at that cutscene and gameplay transitions... Very fluid and insanely great, among these ultra details. The scale, lighting and textures feel improved 10x compared to the first Stellar Blade.

SHIFT UP gives a great lesson on how to make a sequel in such a short time.

Unreal Engine gets trashed a lot, but in the right developers hands it can look stunning. It beats every other engine right now when it comes to next gen feature set. I have a feeling the next wave of UE powered games coming from the likes of CDPR, The Coalition, Game Science, and Shift Up will blow ppl away.

Alien isolation 2 Direct Feed capture Trailer

Blood message Direct feed capture trailer

While we have seen some gameplay-like clips edited in the Blood Message trailers, they might just be target renders. So would be good to see some extended unedited gameplay. They've focused on the story for two trailers now, so it's time to do a gameplay focused one.
