Actually, my point exactly. Let's wait and see how much good this would do, though. Gamers love their Bentleys after all.A Bentley doesn't sell more than a Corolla.

Mate, you don't just count two separate sets of cores as one cluster in a big.little configuration, you treat them as separate sets. Devs probably won't be caught optimising for two sets of cores either considering the latency penalty. One set(probably the smaller one) will be used to run the OS and background tasks, so the bigger cluster will be reserved for games. Same holds true for the other console. It's not 11 vs 10 (because 8 + 3 & 8+2), it's 8 vs 8 once again. And MLiD has been hopping between either 30 GB or 40 GB for the PS6 and he made it clear it wasn't final yet.Forever cross gen with PS5... most games won't require RT (at least for first 2-3 years).
GPU power - yes. This time it will also have stronger CPU (CPUs were virtually identical for PS5 and XSX), more memory and faster memory.
If you don't believe me, look at specs.

160TDP vs. 250-350
13 cores (including 3 full Z6 cores and 8 Z6 C cores) vs. 8 Z6 C cores + 2 LP cores
192 bit memory bus with 48GB of memory vs. 160 bit bus with 30GB of memory
bigger GPU...
3x raster over the base PS5 isnt impossible. Just look at the performance of the 9070xt over the 5700xt. Its only 1.6x the CUs but almost 3x the performance. So a base PS6 with the raster peformance between a 9070xt and a 5080 is very possible with the rumoured CUs on RDNA 5. In any case higher raster performance is diminishing returns, the AI/RT hardware and memory/memory bandwidth is whats going to be providing real generational leaps.LOL @ 3x raster performance with 50% more CUs and 30% clock boost. I mean I know comical exaggerations about "AMD's next GPU architecture is going to bankrupt Nvidia" is a meme, but this is some mass relay level Scifi wishcasting of frankly criminal proportions. This device is in practical terms a PS5 Pro with a little more memory and better AI/RT hardware.
To sell people on the hybrid console/pc approach. Because you know, that worked so well with the RoG ally XI mean considering Xbox Helix is supposed to come in $1200+, it better be at least 25% faster than PS6. Otherwise what is even the point?
No need to upgrade from PS6 to Helix. In pc terms I wouldn't upgrade for 25% more performance. Has to be 50%, or ideally 100% to notice the difference.
PS5 is not 8 times as powerful as the PS4 in rasterizarion. In most cases the ballpark is roughly around 5x. Comparing TF like that is useless.he said raster performance is 3x so at best its going to act like a 30 tflops RDNA2 card. Still garbage. PS5 was 8x after taking the IPC gains into account and 5.5x in raw tflops.
I have no idea wtf cerny is doing anymore. He should just resign. he's way past his fucking prime.
Oh and im not buying the 12x ray tracing claims. he said the pro was 4x better in ray tracing in some games and it was nonsense. it acts like a 16 tflops rdna 2 gpu.
Yes, so I can tell you that there's no RT difference, the SX looks cleaner with PS5 showing reconstruction artifacts.
30-50% depending on TDP targets for bothHow many times is this more powerful then ps6 home console version?
So it could be about 25% if Cerny overclocks the shit out of Orion which I expect he will thanks to liquid cooling and dynamic clocks. MS won't be able to overclock their machine the same way if they use a traditionnal cooling with static clocks. But maybe they are going to copy Sony with the cooling / dynamic clocks. It could make things interesting.News Rumor Hardware Post in thread '[MLiD] XBOX Magnus RDNA 5 Finalized'
30-50% depending on TDP targets for bothHow many times is this more powerful then ps6 home console version?
K KeplerL2 stated 30-50% depending on the TDP and clocks.
He also stated earlier that Magnus Helix GPU will be at least 3 ghz, or higher.
They better use GDDR7 with those tiny buses. They didnt use GDDR7 with 9070xt. highly doubt any of the new systems will.
Resident Evil 4 Remake was patched several times to eventually revert to its original launch state. That IQ thing was patched later despite it has a higher resolution threshold. But PS5 performs better anyway.
The point is that sometimes it's preferable to take the time to examine the discussion and what each person in it says. Because by doing so you would have noticed that no one has denied that there are cases where the PS5 performs better in quality mode with RT. What is being denied is the claim that the PS5 shows better performance in ray tracing modes most of the time (XSX being worse or equal but never better) which is simply false. In fact, saying the opposite would make more sense when analyzing the results. So, you still believe that there isn't any games on PS5 that performs better with RT despite the 2 games are mentioned?
Because by doing so you would have noticed that no one has denied that there are cases where the PS5 performs better in quality mode with RT.
Wait, we have meta shills?!? Even the shills have shills, darn they are organised…Sorry, he did. Otherwise he wouldn't ask which ones. Are you adamapple's shill?
I have a 9800x3d, 32GB DDR5 AND 7GB/s m.2 with a 4080 atm. So for me id get a ps6 and just upgrade to RTX 6080. Plus I have 65inch qd oled and 39 inch oled ultrawide and atmos setup already. No need to upgrade from PS6 to Helix.
Choose one that suits your needs.
Better to get a nicer display like OLED + PS6.
But if you have best possible display + sound system etc, better to get highest performing console as well.
Perhaps because he expected a massive list of games over almost 6 years of the generation that would prove that claim?Sorry, he did. Otherwise he wouldn't ask which ones.
Why the jealousy towards Adam? Are you adamapple's shill?
Ah, in your specific case then yeh, a powerful mini pc would be ideal, and I too get most consoles eventually (I get PlayStations at launch, always have becuase there has always been games from them that I really want to play such as Ridge Racer and WipeOut when the PS1 was launched) but other consoles I tend to wait and see but eventually I usually get them, except for Pro consoles, I dont really bother with those.I'm not your typical case. I take my PC to work every day so having a more compact one would be amazing. I was looking at the Steam box but if this is more powerful and allows me to play GTA 6, and allows easier modding of games, I am going with it. Also, even if I were a at home only gamer, I buy all consoles. I bought a XSX (gave to my daughter), XSS, PS5, PS5 Pro. I'm an edge case lol. I'm getting PS6 too, for sure.
Oh, yeh, definitely, in fact, I think he only tends to get things right when the info is already out there, a lot of the time he just throws things out there and hopefully something sticks to the wall. This is all fun and games of course.
But isnt MLiD a major grifter and clout chaser.
Perhaps because he expected a massive list of games over almost 6 years of the generation that would prove that claim?
The advice to take a moment to analyze the discussion and what each person says before speaking still stands...![]()

PS5 is not 8 times as powerful as the PS4 in rasterizarion. In most cases the ballpark is roughly around 5x. Comparing TF like that is useless.
PS6 leap will be lower at 3x rasterizarion but includes things like ML upscaling and powerful RT hardware.
Nor is Cerny magically able to design something that ignores the fact that memory bandwidth speeds, die shrinks, and clock speed increases have dramatically slowed down. He can't design around basic physics.
Expect the PS7 to probably have an even lower raster uplift.
Oh shit .. I have a laptop that I also cant upgrade almost nothing...no one told me it was also a console...those fuckers. Why do people keep calling it a PC? It's a console. Like the Steam Machine. console too.
You can't change the CPU, GPU, maybe just SSD. It's a console.
We've been here before.
There is no "perhaps". Those games exists. He wouldn't asked for it.
That's what your attitude towards him reveals when it bothers you when someone agrees with him even when he definitely is rightI'm jealous because you're his shill? LOL
Kepler said the specs are finalized for Magnus AT2, Orion, CanisMate, you don't just count two separate sets of cores as one cluster in a big.little configuration, you treat them as separate sets. Series S may have sold more during COVID but Series X now accounts for more of the split.MS has gone for premium device before without any games and mass chose Series S.
Don't know why they are doublinge down on their handful of fans vs attracting mass consumers with cheaper unit.
Yes, I am expecting $500 to $600 for the digital PS6. They want to actually sell this thing you know.the amazing part here is all the posts in the thread expecting a $499 PS6.
We just want to do one of these threads every new gen for funsies thats allThis must be some beaten wife syndrome or something like that, I really can't fathom how anyone could fall for this... again.

so then the the ROG ally, Leigon Go, and MSI claw arent pc handhelds. they are consoles right? Why do people keep calling it a PC? It's a console. Like the Steam Machine. console too.
You can't change the CPU, GPU, maybe just SSD. It's a console.
Not really, as a whole PS5 has been performing on part or better in most games. Especially with Ray Tracing, which was supposedly the Xbox Series X advantage on paper, but that never played out.Not exactly. PS5 and Xbox were trading blows in some metrics thanks to differences in clocks.
What about a half bike half car mish mash of parts?A Bentley doesn't sell more than a Corolla.
