The voice actor for Tommy has said there is no TLOU3 in development or at least he hasn't been approached or worked on it. I would imagine Tommy would be a part of TLOU3 if it were made since he was a big part of part 2.

Why would I need Hellblade 2 to imagine how beautiful the next TLOU would be? Naughty Dog games have always been great looking. Ninja Theory has no bearing on that.

Maybe enough 'parts'? Just saying.
You can always say that Nintendo for example are 'milking' their franchises but those have very abstract story and setting so next game can be anything really. In case of LOU everything is much more determinded.
I also feel sorry for those successful franchises - developers have no 9ther choice but make another one, then another one...

Graphics are boring. Give me good story pacing and gameplay this time, like in the first one.

IF (and it's a big ol if) ND is the exact same that made tlou2, then tlou3 is gonna wipe the floor with almost any game on the market (graphically speaking)

I know, controversial opinion :lollipop_grinning_sweat:

The thing is, i'm not sure if the talent is still all there.

Would be a good start confirm at least it'll release before PS6 at this point. Yes, it'll be beautiful to look at, but not sure will be on par of what Hellblade II shown on last trailer, considering TloU III will probably be a lot bigger vs a corridor game.

Naughty Dog has failed to embrace any of the benefits of raytracing with the PS5 releases of Part I and II.

That makes me scared that they'll be stupid enough to still be pushing baked lighting and screen-space techniques with a third generation PS5 game.
Naughty Dog still hasn't released theirs PlayStation 5 native title.

Too soon for those conclusions especially for the most advanced technical studio in the industry (excluding R*).

Yeah it was so beautiful, imagine this on 8K/120 fps with ray tracing!!!

Please spare us the sight, Wolfpact. We've had our fair share of the Abbinator already.

I can't believe people lap up Cuckman's smega so willingly.
I honestly don't understand that subset of the ND fanbase. Its almost like their purpose relies on defending the studio from reasonable criticism and sucking up to them at every turn. Its less about applauding them for being imaginative/inventive/fun and more about keeping their rep up in high regard at any cost.

I'm honestly more interested in new IP in space. From what I remember.

There were some twitts about Cowboy Bebop so basically it could be a space bounty hunter game. That one I would be down for sure.

Ray tracing is overrated and often looks little or no better than those tried and trusted techniques you disparage, but for a much higher cost - which could be put to better use improving the graphics in a more meaningful way. So I think this is one thing they are getting right.

Personally I’m more excited to see Uncharted 5.

IMO UC games were always more visually interesting (thanks in part to exotic locales no doubt).

I’m also so done with post-apocalyptic shit.

Just enjoy the last of us 3, naughty dog accomplishes a lot with their games. Right now uncharted doesn’t seem clear, but we would celebrate uncharted 6.

They should do something cool an out of left field like the fungus dies and goes extinct after getting infected with a bacteria or something and the infected start turning human again.

it seems like impossible to see something better than HELLBLADE 2, cause Hellblade is a totally linear game!

But anyawy, I believe we'll play equivalent things in the future, but not better things, not yer, not in this generation...

Well, I hope it's only a low expectation, cause ND and Santa Monica didn't show what's next...

Then why doesn't TLOU1 remake look a generation ahead of TLOU2? ND claimed it was built from the ground up for PS5.
to make quickly... I think...

I really think Hellblade 2 is the next standard for every game starting next year... But...
We'll continue to see PS4-based games... Stellar Blade, TEKKEN 8, the new DBZ, whatever...

Have you seen the incredible lighting and atmosphere in this games?? Honestly I can't imagine how they'd get them to look any better tbf and if adding RTGI or other such Tech means a reduction in asset quality, scene density etc then you can shove RT up yer arse, I'd rather ND just keep doing with they're doing

Why so many people wanking off to graphics these days? Is Nvidia behind this? Are they part of the Illuminati? I thought games were about fun.

For me, I'm chasing the dragon that was the rush of massively-improved graphics hyped up by gaming magazines and sites every year from 1994-2013.

But with the diminishing returns since then, old Grildon Tundy is withdrawing baaaaaad. Cyberpunk and Alan Wake 2 were the Suboxone to Quake 2's heroin.

And it will still look better than anything else, including gimmicky ray tracing games that most of you cannot even decide if they are ray traced or not. LOL, like it ever depended on that... With their baked solution it can still look the same or better, because a single player linear game don’t even need that if the time doesn’t change realtime.

1994 is when I quit the chase.

I had a brand new pc, super expensive, and it couldn't run 1994 games.

That's funny, sad, and true, and also goes to prove how the rate of improvement has slowed. 1000 series GPUs can run 2023 games. A 1050Ti can technically run Alan Wake 2. Sure, games have more modular graphics settings than in the 90s, but still.

They’re the new faces of the Last of Us IP.
Hope not.

They'll be a part of the next installment, and they should be, but there need to be new protagonists.

I can't speak for everyone but I'm not interested in Abby's story, it's been told and the angle only worked due to the circumstances surrounding part 2.
