Most boring Games you ever play it

Shenmue 2, I’m not talking HD remaster or any of that shit. I’m talking in the day the hype was real Shenmue 2. Fucking boring… I slept through the entire walk with Shenhua, woke up in a cave, end of game.

Really, the old Need for Speed: Most Wanted game really entertains me. I like the feel of the street racing. The recent Need for Speed with the live action video is also not that bad. It is annoying that it has to be online. Someone will patch that out when the game gets old.

The Last of Us. The gameplay was SO boring, I found the game a tedious slog. I finished it hoping to see what others did, but nope. Just a boring game with a generic story.

FFXIV A Realm Reborn / Stormblood.
Literally slept with controller in my hands a handful of times like an old man.

The legit most boring game I've ever played is an old Intellivision one (yes, I'm old) called: Tron Solar Sailor.

I had high hopes after the really good (for it's time) Tron: Deadly Discs, but man was it awful.

Usually if I find a game boring, I stop playing it, but here I want to put games that I've finished even if I've found them boring:

- Pokémon Sword/Shield - I liked the pacing unitl the third city, then it become incredible boring and felt unfinished untile the very ending, that I think was entertaining, but overall one of my less appreciated Pokémon games ever.

- The Last of Us - As an Uncharted fan I was very excited to play this and I loved it, but I hated that half of the game or even more was just you slowly walk and hear dialogues between characters. I never played it a second time because of this, if they just had these moments in skippable cutscenes, I'd have played it much more because firefights were fun.

- Deadly Premonitions 1 & 2 - These are two of my favourites games ever, but from a gameplay perspective are absolutely terrible. The second one is a bit better, but still not fun at all to "play". Luckily, characters, atmosphere and story is enough to enjoy these masterpieces.

- Gears 4 (and Gears 5 too, but this one is a lot better IMHO) - As a Gears fan I still play all the games in the series, but the 4th was just terrible, with all these "arenas" full of robots. So boring, I've finished it, but I struggled so much.

Divinity: Original Sin - My good friend really loved the game and one time while he was over, he tried to show me what it was all about. I remember there being an obscene amount of text and every character talked to every other character so much, I fell asleep while he was showing me.
Resident Evil 5 - fell asleep a couple times while playing this co-op over Xbox live with a friend
Bloodborne: I love Souls games, but the gothic setting and characters put me to sleep. I could not play much beyond the first major boss. Too dreary and moist for my liking - makes me sleepy.
Gran Turismo - any version
Viva Pinata - this game is the opposite of boring in that it throws so much information and rules at you in the first 15 minutes, I was both overwhelmed and bored - and I love the art style. This one I might give another shot some day with my son.

The Medium is the most recent that I can think of. I'll go back to it at some point but the few hours I spent with it, just a complete slog. It's almost offensive in how dumb/slow it is at times, ha.

Normally I'd slap you but Death Stranding cures my insomnia.
Sparing my slap spared you this

Is 'That Pure Potato'
Ah. I guess it is one of those artsy turd games?

Let's put it this way:

When I was 19 I spent a night in the "drunk tank" due to participating in a huge bar brawl - city jail of Poor City, Poor Southern State, USA.

It is famously impossible to be comfortable in one of these cells, let alone actually sleep regardless of how bombed one is, because every surface is hard and sharp and not spacious enough. It smells like other people's feces and urine. There is constant banging noises, crackheads screaming, oddly enough babies crying, and the minimum wage earning guards rapping on the bars to entertain themselves at 3AM.

Those nine hours I spent in that cell was more enjoyable than the 90 or so minutes I spent playing Hellblade.

I'm not trying to make a joke, or cast some weird console warrior type aspersion upon a Microsoft property, or anything like that. I truly, from the bottom of my heart, found Hellblade that shitty.

Any Call of Duty game released in the last 10 years. The very definition of Gaming Hell for me personally. Soulless, uninspired, repetitive nonsense that is just recycled ad nauseum every year.

NO PAIN TRANCE CONTINUE
A shit ton including a lot of TRIIIIIIIPLE A titles. But I feel most of stems from being depressed. On the other hand BotW and Death Stranding had me hooked.

I loved Shenmue 2 and 1.
For me i would say Breath of the Wild. I'm still trying to give this game another chance.

Hellblade for me too which is why I don't hold much hope for the sequel. It can have as many fancy graphics as it wants but they seriously need to inject some fun into it cos the original had none whatsoever imo.

Horizon. Fuck Aloy.
Seriously. I just started Horizon Forbidden West. Ashley Burch reads every line like she's the most depressed mf'er on the planet with her voice dropping off at the end. Reminds me of back in elementary school when we'd take turns as students reading parts of the book out loud and because you're only reading the words on the page and not conveying their meaning, it's boring to listen to.

There's no variation in her cadence. It gets so old. Who directed her to read every line the same way?

The Spanish dub has done a great job replicating the original voice actress lol.

Metal Gear Solid 2. Not just the shit character and shit drawn out nonsensical story but the fucking environment bored me to tears. A sprawling blue and grey oil rig or whatever it was that just kept going on and on, with said story getting more boring by the minute and likewise Raiden becoming an even bigger cunt every footstep he took.

I really really hate that game. But the worst thing about it is how enjoyable it was whilst you were controlling Snake. Then Kojima decided to pull a Kojima and up its own arse the game disappeared.

GTAIV or V. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz..... Even online, with how long it takes to load into activities. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz....

Last of Us as well. Watch a bunch of cutscenes that would be considered sub-par cinema fare, then run around and scavenge, shoot some stuff, hide. I could not bring myself to get very far in the game.
