Could it be that they thought Aloy model in HZ is better looking and hence not progressive enough, such that they must remake the game from scratch to better fit into that inclusivity and diversity standard in nowadays gaming industry? xD

I do wonder what the strategy of bundling a MP game with a likely 50 usd or higher game is.

Maybe they want to tip toe into the GAAS space.

Very few IP's I feel can get away with it at large scale (COD and even they have a f2p game) , maybe horizon is one of those.

Fighting games are their own weird niche.

I don’t think the article said they were going to be bundled. They may wel be but all that was noted was these are two projects in the works. Co-op could be stand alone like the VR title, perhaps low price or FTP with MTX to dip that toe into GaaS.

I've been begging for this since a while. It's Vita only sucks that it still didn't get a proper remaster on new home consoles.
At least I'm still getting my GrimGrimoire but Muramasa HAS TO come to modern console at some point.

I dont know who has publishing rights for Muramasa, Marvelous or whoever own this IP for LOVE OF GOD please bring this game to modern systems.

Remember when Sony bragged about 25 games in development? We’ll Horizon Remake will be one if them. Add in all the mobile, VR, GAAS games and whatever other remasters/remakes they got in development along with known games like Spidey 2 and Wolverine, and the number of AAA new SP IPs is going to be almost none.

What's next, God of War remake?
Maybe Miles Morales. Lol

Why lose so many resources on Last of us 1 and Horizon Zero dawn remakes? Those are two whole new games that we are now missing.
TLOU1 was outsourced to another studio and then brought back into Naughty Dog when some technical people were going to be without work while a new game was ramping up. Likely the same scenario with HZD. You didn’t lose two whole new games friend.

OK, then let's say 1 game less for this nonsense.

I'd like to think this is just a PS5 upgrade type thing. However if it isn't, then this is probably Sony taking a Nintendo style approach and really doubling down on their IP knowing that they can't compete in this acquisition war the way some others can.

Maybe they are testing unproven new talent to see how they can handle a game development without taking big risks? I don’t know, probably a stupid thought.

I’m honestly a bit burnt out on the Horizon franchise now. This is coming from a dork who bought the tall neck lego. I love it, but forbidden west was a bit garbled to me.

It’s a spectacular game, but they need to drop it for a while after call of the mountain. This remake is completely unwarranted, but I’m sure the 3 people on the planet who haven’t played this game will love it.
