What do you when you're too bored to want to play any games?

Reverse groomer.
Maybe this is just me but there are times where i'm so bored and tired that i have no drive to play anything in my steam library, or ANYTHING. Whether it be because of choice paralysis, being drained after a whole session of a game, or just not feeling up to it. I just lay on my bed and sort of.... think. Sometimes i just go off and take a walk because ofc. Or go onto YT and watch a video.

I bought a sex doll, but I keep it inflated 100% of the time and use it like a regular wife
There are better things to do than doing something you don't feel like doing.

When it happens to me, sometimes I feel like I'm wasting my free for not being playing games or doing some other fun activity. But nah, it's fine to relax and take things slow from time to time, specially when you are tired.

Build a Lego set. I have a couple of sets that I rotate back and forth throughout the year on my shelf. Currently I have Sesame Street on there, last month it was Seinfeld. I have a Winnie the Pooh set that my daughter confiscated when she was quarantined in her room, but I get it back into my rotation when she gets tired of it. Next, I have the Razer Crest that is unopened for when I feel the way you described.

Just realized I didn't read the title right lol, thought you asked what do we play when we don't feel like playing.

When I don't want to play videogames I'm either taking a walk or hanging out with friends, although sadly the later is less common nowadays. I also like painting miniatures, reading books and manga or work on developing my own videogame. There's always time for shitposting here and there too, and I also follow a few YouTube channels.

I used to be into watching movies and series but I dunno, I think I've lost the drive to do that. I used to do some excercise at home too but sadly I stopped doing that, it was just too boring.

pretty cool, i had a nice walk, saw some cats on the street (they didn't come near me though:messenger_loudly_crying:) and took out the trash
Sounds like comfy time.

All the time…I’m fact, I turned on my ps5 about three hours ago and have just been cruising the internet, mostly GAF, with only the UI music in the background

Bored. What hideous self-centered thing to say. Ugh. You've been given the absolute miracle of life and all of the experiences it brings - from smells and sounds, tastes and experiences. The miracle of thought... of being able to literally create something for absolute nothing and you say you're bored.
What an awful way to describe yourself. I'm glad I'm not like that. I'm never bored.

I didn’t put on the lights and scaffolding on the top as it’s designed to look like a set. I prefer it this way instead.
Can you still buy that set or were they like limited time thing? I’ve been binge watching Seinfeld for like months over and over when I can’t decide what to watch. It’s my go-to feel good show. I just can’t get bored of it

I definitely agree with you about the staying power of that show. It’s still pretty easily attainable as it’s about a year old. It will go out of print after a couple of years.
It’s currently $80 on Amazon.

My dad always told me that boredom is for the foolish. :goog_relieved:

And I agree with him. There are too much things available in the world to keep you entertained, specially nowadays.

Now, being tired and not wanting to do anything? That's something different.

I can relate. I’ve been pretty depressed lately and a lot of the time I don’t feel like playing, feel too tired or shitty. I’ve just been trying to distract myself from counting down hours with watching movies and shows. I don’t like most TV but have recently been enjoying The Boys on Amazon. I’m really into horror movies so I’ve been rewatching some classics. I love Shudder as a service and would recommend it if that’s you’re thing.

Also getting into new music is good. Personally I’ve been getting into prog rock, listening to Tarkus, Krimson King, etc.

Comics are also a good alternative. I like listening to 70’s and 80’s rock while reading something from the time period. I’d recommend anything Jack Kirby, you can’t go wrong there.

For me these spells come and go. Boredom is the mind killer.

For me it varies. I love art and the internet brings a lot of communities together. I also follow what's going on in the world, but I don't follow the mainstream, I just piss in it. Next are my other hobbies, guns, cars, and tabletop games. Working on my own unique system that's quite a bit different than most of what's out there both newer as well as the OSR stuff. I also love Battletech and there's been a fun resurgence in the scene lately. I also watch vids from some barely known Youtubers I like that cover rpg stuff. It really helps to have some self-discipline and responsibility. Like a certain man said, clean your room. Develop good habits, wash the dishes, plan out your expenses and budget accordingly(this will be paramount in the coming months I believe). Work on investments if possible but be careful in the current climate.

Also, spend time with family and those you love. My family is small enough to count on one hand, and we lost my Grandpa last week. Great guy, I cherish my time with him. Taught me a LOT about responsibility and the importance of preparation.

Lastly but not least of all for me is the importance of music. Spent all day listening to new stuff, also some old. The metal scene has been on fire these past few years. Also sythwave and dungeonsynth too.

Try hobbies which don't revolve around absorbing media

It will help your boredom/depression
