Well the eagle eyed people already dissected the battle hub image. The found Cammy and Guile on one of the arcade cabinets.

They also found Juri (WOOO), Zangief, Blanka, Dhalsim, and Honda's names in the event counter bracket on right and left side of the screen.

Not a Street fighter fan but I hated the 5's art direction, those skins looked like foam goddammit, can't stand it, I think the back to 4's at direction is a plus in my book

I actually like the artwork in SF5 much more then SF4. The portraits were good in SF4, but I think the in game graphics and art style were much nicer in SF5.

I think it looked very good visually. Reminds me of SF5 aesthetically, but with a little more realism, flashiness and detail. Can’t put my finger on it, but the game also reminds me of Final Fight Streetwise and SF3: Third Strike for some reason. Controversial probably, but I’m glad they didn’t go the “anime” route. I like anime style, but imho most 2D fighters look very similar to each other and rarely push the graphics boundaries. I know this game will be littered with a lot and some very expensive DLC as well, so get prepared.

I think it's smart for bringing in new or lapsed players. Obviously the stalwarts aren't gonna be that interested in that side of things, but that's not who it's for.

I really liked the artstyle of Street Fighter V so I'm a little bit sad they are moving away from it. Still, excited to try it out.

Personally when they first said they were using RE Engine and going for more realism I was worried it'd end up looking like a Netherrealm game and while I'm still adjusting to hand and feet sizes looking normal, I quite like the look now in gameplay.

Yeah I'm also glad they haven't gone with a 100% realistic nor anime cel-shaded style look. It works for Guilty Gear, DBZ Fighterz etc. but Street Fighter has always been a more grounded type of fighter compared to those, so an anime cel-shaded look wouldn't of worked as well.

I was never a huge fan of Street Fighter and the passage to 3D with the ugly character model just killed any interest for me.

When I saw Chun-Li and the others characters in the trailer, I was hopeful because they look kind of "normal". Then... Ryu shows up... What's your problem with ultra beefy/fat Ryu, Capcom ?

Also Open world exploration in a fighting game ? I already have a problem with story mode in a Fighting game so open world exploration...

Guess it's not this game that will bring me back to the franchise

It would have been way more jarring if the entire roster had these really nicely stylized, new and shiny outfits while Cammy was still in her dusty SF 2 gear. I think her new outfit looks great enough to please all parties. The real question is will Sakura's default design finally evolve? Even Kyo from KoF finally shed his school outfit after a while.

almost the exact opposite situation of last gen where late cross-gen games still released on 360 but not on PS3 due to hardware issues.

like Watch Dogs or The Crew, where Ubisoft basically said they were not worth all the work to get them running on PS3... The Xbox One now is in that same position it seems... the poor One X is pulled down by the Base Xbox One as well.

honestly seeing this, Microsoft should maybe lift the parity restrictions on this now to keep the Xbox One X alive for a bit longer, it would be the pro consumer move here as One X owners now have to suffer because the base Xbox One is such a piece of shit.

Cross gen is a good thing in this case in my opinion. Fighting games really benefit from having larger populations to increase matchmaking.

They probably have enough data from SFIV on the 3DS to maybe think fighters on Nintendo systems that aren't Smash aren't worth the effort? Though they could be waiting for Switch 2, as you said.

Crossplay between consoles at least needs to happen for sure. Consoles & PC will probably be there, but SFV had some issues where PC players could patch in netcode changes and console players couldn't, not to mention the mods on PC that console players wouldn't have (especially the NSFW ones), etc. They should at least make PC crossplay optional like SFV does currently.

Huh? SFIV's art style was the garbage one, not V's xD. The art team even took after SF3 aesthetically for V. So far SFVI looks like a mix of 4 and 5, but if 4 actually looked good and they didn't have the clay hair & monstrous hands/feet of V

I do hope there are still some more muscularly-toned female fighters in this one, though. Maybe Chun is but gotta see her in a different outfit to make sure.

Wow, there's a lot of really neat designs in there. For returning chars I love what they did with Dee Jay, Akuma (again; he keeps looking more badass with each game), Ken (with that inner Terry Bogard MoTW energy & style), Rashid, Ed, and Cammy. Cammy is a weird one because I think part of her design is definitely to appease certain idiots who are intimidated with women showing their own skin, but even with that in mind the new look definitely suits her. She has some RBFF/KOF Blue Mary vibes to her new look, I'd even say a little bit of Eliza from the cancelled RE 1.5 in bits and pieces, too.

Also quite like the new iterations for Blanka, Zangief, Chun-Li, Ed, and Juri. Dhalsim practically looks the same as he did in V. Some of the new characters immediately catch my eye: the Chinese assassin, the Italian old-looking dude (that is the Italian flag, right?), the girl with the pink hair, and Jamie look the best of the new characters. Kimberly, the giant woman, the Mexican girl design look good enough but don't immediately stand out as strongly to me.

I know the complete roster hasn't been leaked yet but since word has it Rose and Makoto are in this I definitely want to see what their designs look like here. I still personally want Remy, Twelve, and Necro back because they are some of my favorites to play as in 3S and they haven't been in any other SF game besides the III series. I also kind of hope Zeku, Laura, Lucia and Menat come back, guess we'll see.
