Maybe they will. Sonys recent history shows they will proceed with a good thing even if it means non-exclusive. An IP like Wolverine can’t be cheap unless maybe included in the Spider-Man movie deals between Sony and Disney.

I'm excited but I think this is one of those "announced way too early" things. I wouldn't be surprised if we don't see it until 2025. Spider-Man 2 at least had 2023 on it.
Edit: Maybe earlier. I think Insomniac has at least 2 teams considering how close Miles Morales and Ratchet came out together.

When they announced Wolverine I thought it was Spider-Man. There's a lot of characters out there ripe for the picking but they pick Logan?

Honestly it makes sense. Who pumps out games this fast unless they're all closely related and use similar tech that can be overlapped.
Anyway, hopefully its very dark and at least sets itself apart in tone if not gameplay.

Did you not see lots of gameplay? Spiderman 2 had snippets of gameplay, GOW Ragnarok had lots, GT7 as did the other 3rd party games.

In Insomniac we trust! I'm very glad Marvel gave them another popular character to work with. I know some will groan at them doing another licensed game, instead of a new IP, but it's Wolverine, and it's Insomniac. This could be fucking epic.

Here for it... but Spider-Man is about swinging and navigating and upgrades/tech (which they nailed), and Wolverine has to be about combat. So I hope they have a really fun combat system, it's going to need it to deliver on the promise of this kind of game.

This. I said during the show that Marvel games are becoming the new COD for me. I tune out everytime I see a trailer for them. Then Wolverine and Spidey2 were announced, and i instantly perked up. I only care because Insomniac has proven that they can handle a superhero game.

I'm honestly surprised about how nonchalant Microsoft is. Disney is whoring its biggest IPs out like the whores they are, and so far MS hasn't signed a licensing agreement for any of them. They only inherited Indiana Jones because it was already a done deal between Bethesda and Lucas.

I’m not at all. It’s all there for everyone to see. They talk all day about where you can play and how you can play.
For all the money and boasting, they are not ahead of the curve when it comes to what you play.
To me it feels like Gamepass is the current leaderships saving grace. That and backwards compatibility the go to defence tactic .

The games deal between Marvel Games and SIE has absolutely nothing to do with the deal between Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures. In the latter case even Disney and Sony Japan to resign it in 2019.
Cant say on my end if they’re related. But I wouldn’t take it as gospel they aren’t. Don’t the sides have common parent companies? And somehow this game was kept secret so . . .
