Like I said the anims look great. But it was so predictable.
In the sense that there's a limited number of characters to choose from, sure. But I don't think they looked at a line up of anthropomorphic turtles and said "We need more diversity here". It's either her, Splinter, or Casey, and April offers something drastically different in terms of gameplay variety. If she's fun to play, which she looks, I'd much rather have that as the first addition to contrast the others.
If you look at everything through that lens, every female addition is going to look like predictable pandering because you're expecting
everything to be an offender. Dotemu's last game was Streets of Rage 4, and there was nothing in there or
their entire catalogue that gives me reason to assume they would predictably add a woman in just to add a woman. If anything, going by Blaze's bouncing tits and red underwear in her all grey palette swap, they're the opposite of what you think they are. You're barking up the wrong tree with this one.
