Don't have a series system yet, but the idea of accidently running power into a couple of Alkalines in a device someone is holding, ouch.
I always keep some charged spares so that you never need to play with a cable.

I am currently going through Prey and it’s fantastic, I am actually ashamed I missed this when it first released it’s almost criminally underrated.
The Old Blood is a satisfying short and sweet experience, it don’t outstay it’s welcome, you will get through the whole campaign in under 10 hours.

These fools don't realize that this type of thing almost always works better as an advertisement than a deterrent. Their friends (if they've got any) searching to see "what is this Gamepass thing I'm supposed to be afraid of" as we speak.

Awesome! Stellaris is one of my favorite games from last gen but the performance on the Xbox One is atrocious. The end game in particular is unplayable, it's way too slow and constantly crashes. I can't wait to play it again on the XSX.

What separates gaming from movie/music services is the post-release support, which the latter does not have, and probably never will due its nature, it lacks that second layer of income that is never taken into account in those kind of calculations. So sure, out of those 18MLN there are many people out there who bought 3 years of GPU for just 1$, so there's nothing to add up in the Excel cells, but the catch is that those people will be spending money on those GP games since they don't have to buy 70€ titles every now and then (they still can tho, just like you can still watch TV or go to the cinema while owning Netflix), and most of that money will go straight into MS' pocket. Not to mention that after that period many of those people will stay within the service, for the full price.

Wait i was JUST about to buy Yakuza 6 for $20 but then remembered that Hades is supposed to be at the XB indie showcase tomorrow and i believe that's $25 on Switch. I shall wait a day. If Hades releases soon i'll just save my funny money and get Yakuza 6 after.

The thing about these $1 deals is that Microsoft is completely aware that some people use them several times or with different accounts etc.
Anyway, the conversion rate from the $1 deal must be big enough for this to be profitable or Microsoft would simply end them for good.

I didn't realize Octopath was up until this morning as they never sent the alert I set. Looks fucking awesome, though. Love that 16/32-bit style with the modern engine effects and real voice over. I played the opening with Ophelia a bit, but I'll wait until I have a couple hours free to really dig in.

Yes but i am jumping from GP to straight up purchase for the whole series. I bought them on PS3/PS4 as well. More than happy to support the developers, esp with how cheap they are to buy.

i didn't buy an xbox last gen but i'm actively looking for a series X now. not going to kill myself to find one but if i ever see it in a store or online i'm gonna grab it. gamepass is nice and i have some old xbla games i bought in the 360 era i want to play again

Seems like there are a few games on other streaming services currently, probably contractually. I'd assume as soon as their contracted period on PSNow or Plus ends, they'll be added to GP at some point.

On a side note - I just finished Mass Effect Andromeda. I enjoyed myself through out the game, but I realised at the credits, that I didn't give a shit about any of the characters. Including my self. I suppose that says a lot about the game.

Finally received the new Xbox headset and it’s really good for the price, much better than the Razr one I was using so far. Atmos for headphones is good but not as magical as having a real surround system
I liked the small details like the fact it plays the Series X startup sound when you start it, and the log in sound when you connect it to BT. I recommend it if you can get one.

I'm at end game in ME:A and will finish it today. I like Liam, Suvi and my own character, but I couldn't care less about the rest. The first trilogy had such awesome characters that I really liked and cared about (except Kaiden and Jack), this game not so much.

You really liked Liam? What made him stand out for you? He is generally considered the worst of the crew. I hated him. The game itself is completely average regardless.
