Almost all problems are fixed now and Pascal GPUs performance upgrade is massive:

I also saw up to a 33% increase in performance on my Maxwell arch GTX 970 after those updates. Unfortunately, it was still not enough to lock at 60fps, using Original settings at 1080p.

Revisited the game on Ampere RTX 3070 a couple of days ago... 120+fps was like a piece of cake on it. Combined with VRR, the experience was on another level. I wish my PS5 brethren get to experience this at either 120fps or at least 60fps at 4K.

Maybe I will reinstall to play the DLC

I have finished the game on PS4 Pro. Bought the DLC but never played it. Would love to play it on my high-end PCs now.
But would somehow need a save game with a completed main story. Don't want to replay everything....

Maybe 4 years after launch when they've been given free to PS+ users and the price is sub $20. As long as PC players must pay close to the original MSRP, that would be fine.
Doesn't matter, pc will still be the best version.

Pay 70 euro for a budget version or 40 bucks for the complete edition and 4k 140plus fps and all the other goodies like ultra textures g sync etc a few years later.

I know which version I'd pick if I was interested.

Just watched, still has some problems but they've finally removed so many of the biggest issues, like the stuttering, might give it a whirl and see if I can do 4K30 + Ultimate on my GTX 1080. I bet it looks cleeeeeeean at native 4K compared to how I've seen it on Pro.

4K60 with high settings sounds impossible outside of 3000 series though.

Played this on my Pro and waited until a couple weeks ago to get it on PC.

Noticed it had a... more than rocky launch, but they were committed to fixing the bugs and improving performance. Runs like a dream now, at least for me.

Nah. To hell games like HZD "locked" with pathetic performance and mediocre controls for 4 years.

I know. They wouldn't fit.
The only reason we PC gamers are so obese and have such poor personal hygiene is because we have so many superior games to play that we don’t have time for that other crap.

The fact that you console folks are so fit and attractive is just proof that your pathetic PlayStations and Xboxes aren’t good enough to consume your life the way a PC can.

PC Gamers now praise Sony IP and keep talking like a benchmark or something is good for "PC industry" or the GPU they have.

Just Keikoku :messenger_fearful:

Is the console version getting patched though?
Leave PC version for fixing all issue and port to PS5.

This is why console gamers get mad at the idea of a PC version of exclusives, not because of the game being technically better on PC but because they have to deal with dumb shit like the one you posted.

These guys should get jobs in QA. Good work, but no way would I pay (patreon) to listen to this. It's just too much, and I couldn't make it through the second half of the video.

How is factuality "dumb"? As a consumer, you should know what version is in fact the best and where we are being short handed. My gripe with console gaming is paying $50 to pay online. Should I get angry that others are playing sub-par versions and also paying online for it?

If they keep the same shader cache mechanism in the upcoming Sony pc ports I won't buy them. They have to find a better solution. A prime 95 blend test is less taxing on the CPU...

Nope. And I doubt they even care with the sequel so close. Some graphic aspects start to appear very rough today as the grass compenetration, the very low AF and the continuous culling popin in the ground. Though the thing I really hate it's the gameplay, don't get it the love, boring and quite empty; it's the less fun first parties game I have ever played by Sony studios. It's the first time I have abandoned a first parties title, I have to admit. Guerrilla needs to revitalise a lot of the gameplay structure for the sequel because as today is already quite dated from this point views and I hope to see a big evolution, personally. IMO.

For those interested, here are quotes from one of my friends that's a game developer at an undisclosed Microsoft-owned company about how they develop games based on target hardware.

"..during development, we will decide a targeting platform and what PC spec similar to that platform"

"it's usually aiming to a higher spec and later down grade for lower spec console if we have the time"

"yeah, for us, it's easier to scale down"

Take it for what you will..

Not sure why they works spend more time on this when PS5 users are still running it at 30fps but it looks great for a 4 year old game as you would expect with a big budget title.

The jumping animations always stood out to me as a sore thumb however.
