I was on Gaf for the Bloodborne thread when the initial potato quality footage of that game leaked and the hype levels were off the charts. Easily my favorite experience talking about video games on the internet. Seeing all the pathetic whining from non-Souls fans in this thread makes me shake my head. In Dark Souls 2 the giants had a huge ass hole in their heads.

sekiro is a souls game with emphasis on parry

they are not gonna make something completely new just because, the core dna is gonna be mostly the same.

i've always assumed it'd be just a souls like game with a new "skin" or setting so to speak.

dark souls has the medieval vibe going on.
bloodborne has the lovecraftian cosmic horror goodness
sekiro has the feudal japanese setting
elden ring = ancient norse/celtic

Sekiro is my least played from game. It is still a good game, but after i finished it I had no reason to replay it.
