If that were the case Playstation would not be putting so much money into the Pro tour's for fighting games. They put millions into capcom pro tour, and continue with promoting/sponsoring fighting game events. If that were the case all pro fighters would be playing on powerful laptop/PC's and not PS4.
But thats not the case. Not all fighting games have cross play. So the bigger player pool is on Playstation which it has been for an entire gen.
It is still the place to Flay currently Final fantasy. FF7R is still not announced for PC. FF XVI is also slated for PS5 exclusivity which means you wont see it on PC for over a year after it's release.
If your willing to wait then yes PC is the place to play everything. I own a really good gaming PC, but I play all Yakuza titles, FF, and fighters on my Playstation unless I get them really cheap on PC. The interface, community player pools are much better.
This is rich coming from you dude, you have been trolling every thread because of the juicy news on Sony restructuring a iconic studio. You are literally going off of your own bullshit and not what is being talked about by multiple sources:
Here are the facts:
- Japan Studio has not had a hit in almost over a decade
- Even with co-developed From Software projects like Demon Souls it did not sell gang busters and catch on until sequels later(not talking about remake)
- they had tons of internal development issues during PS3/PSP/PSVITA days.
- Was one of the reasons shue took a different position, he use to oversee a lot from Japan studio
- team asobi is successful and now will continue to run the rest of japan studio
- people involved in collaboration projects like Demon Souls remake with bluepoint will continue under a larger umbrella meaning remakes with Japan studio/Sony studio branding will continue to an extent.
- Shue will probably retire for sure, but he is doing what he loves currently
Show me another company that was able to adapt their studios? Microsoft has mismanaged multiple and closed just as many, some of which had more success stories than Japan studio in PS3 era.
Nintendo uses the same people, and has not expanded and thats why they take so long with their games and use like SOny external developers for a lot of titles.
Have to get over the fact that people are not buying the type of games Japan studio was making, and a lot of those titles now are being emulated in Indie games.
Dude I get it, your having a field day, but at least be honest about what your trying to do and stop trying to inject your bullshit in what is actually happening.
PS3 era had giant restructuring,
Japan Studio with all of their money pits, was unchanged for almost 2 decades, so it was only a matter of time they either adapted to make something that could be better marketed, or keep making obscured games with insane budgets.
To your last comment Herman was the lead/head over at Gureilla Games, and was responsible for Horizon and getting that studio into the shape it is now.
