Not to be rude but if you don't like Mario and Zelda games the Switch is a fairly difficult sell.I finally got a Switch and thought there would be a ton of games to play on it and I have 4 total. Not being a huge fan of Mario games, I was hoping for more variation. I want more Star Fox games. The hardware is impressive and convenient to use. But I don't want to play an open world Zelda game or yet another Mario game. I was hoping more Wii and WiiU games would be ported to the Switch. Maybe with time they will be.
...and then they run out and support them with their money.
On the other hand, it's Nintendo fans who say 'NSO is only $20 a year, that's nothing'.
You're expecting something different like Nintendo and the Pokemon fans who loves the appeal of the game are supposed to care.
I bought the latest one simply because it is fun to collect and complete the pokedex. Simple as that.
Balance is important, I don't need your low effort "I'm supposed to be impressed" opinion to know the importance of good balance. You just wouldn't enjoy a game it is not so, I mean how retarded could you be to not appreciate this aspect? Oh, maybe you only like pretty graphics and muh production to look at, not play? That seems logic.
And Yay open world.... what's next, maybe a walking simulator with long ass cutscenes in between? Talk about being entitled AF. Go play those games if you enjoy it that much.
This is like expecting me Sony games to not suck in introducing open world bloats just to boost your playtime, also those slow walking sections like I'm supposed to watch a movie inter gameplay.
Your standards are trash btw. Keep up the good work.
It sells purely because of the cut prices compared to its production, which is pretty good appeal for the mass I guess. Try doing that full price though, let's see.
That's a reaction to fanatics who will defend anything. This industry gets away with shit that most other industries don't. For example, you can't get a refund on a opened game BUT you can't know if a game sucks UNTIL you open it. Take almost any other product and you can open it, use it and if you don't like it return it for a refund. Game consumers have become so accustomed to this that they think it's ok, it's not.Gaming is the only place where I see this really stupid expectation that we need to be hyper critical of every little thing.
I think I agree with the point you're trying to make, but this isn't a good example. Can you buy a DVD and return it because you didn't like the movie? For example, you can't get a refund on a opened game BUT you can't know if a game sucks UNTIL you open it. The game community loves to hype things and now we have this pre-order culture where gamers trip over each other to give their money away. It's embarrassing and it has cause developers and publishers to take advantage of game consumer 'enthusiasm'. Of course there is going to be an opposite group of people who think all the hype hurts us all.

What does that even mean? "Defending".
Ever wonder why Sony playstation division profit margin was so small vs revenue despite high 1st party software sales? That's great, still not sure why you would enjoy paying higher prices though. Your opinion on GOW etc was a joke though, and I notice you didn't even challenge me not having played those games either. Fanboy rubbish.,
Unless you have any data to back this up it's meaningless words.
Also we've established that you're weird. You like being taxed hard by Nintendo, and you're more interested in game sales than game quality. I like having a wider, better, cheaper games library available to me.
I will buy BOTW II. I forgot about that one. I beat it a while ago. I liked BOTW, I don't see myself buying anything else though. They're just not the type of games I like to play.Hilarious.
I wonder how many of those 65 million switch consoles were people gifting a switch to someone who doesn't even want one...
Vote with your wallet, don't like Nintendo? don't buy Nintendo products.
Easy right?
So no hard data then?Ever wonder why Sony playstation division profit margin was so small vs revenue despite high 1st party software sales?
Can't wait to see your reaction after this Q3 for the most profitable console in half of PS4 lifetime sales. So no hard data then?
And yet, in this thread you have people complaining about Nintendo's output this year, while Sony is bringing exclusives like Dreams, FFXIII, The Last of Us 2 and Ghosts of Tsushima during PS4s swansong years.
Oh and since you don't care about games only spreadsheets, it's probably worth keeping in mind that PS4 is the most profitable games console in videogame history (more than the DS and Wii). Sony's doing just fine as much as it probably pains you .
PS2 is the best selling home console of all time. PS4 is the most profitable console of all time. PS5 is the biggest console launch of all time. Can't wait to see your reaction after this Q3 for the most profitable console in half of PS4 lifetime sales.
He then asked the Sony Fanboys in our chat group "So where is Sony World?? I am waiting for Sony World". And then he laughed.
The only thing I'm mad on Nintendo right now is the lack of options for those who don't need portable gaming. Paying the cost of a portable device and using it only on tv at low resolution kinda of sucks. I'd be happy if they created a tv only device to play Switch games on 4k.
Nintendo switch releases have been pretty mediocre with the exception of breath of the wild in 2017 which was groundbreaking and MAYBE Mario Odyssey a year or two ago which was OK.
In these past four years, hasn’t really been anything WOW to be honest and all I keep seeing are just rehash after rehash and very slow release schedule.
No F Zero? No Star Fox? No Metroid Prime footage at least? Nintendo has so many other properties and I feel that the switch has gotten either tons of Wii U ports or just nonstop rehash.
Im tired of Nintendo having a whoefully underpowered machine. I want a $500 console that can play their games in 4K 60 fps.
That's not how it works at all. I'm a huge Nintendo fan I can criticize them and enjoy the new Zelda at the same time.Don't like it? Don't buy it
That’s brutal, dudeI mean, if Sony had games still selling and being talked years later, they would keep their prices "high" too. It's not Nintendo's fault if you can experience the Sony 1st party through YouTube.
Are you telling me the story of good guy Sony? The good guy Sony that sells a prettified 11 year old game for 80 Euro? If Sony could sell their games years later for 50+ bucks, they would. 100%. But there are just too many good cross-platform games on PS, nobody would pay that price for an old Sony game. Here's the catch though. This gen when Sony first party titles were smashing their records god of war, Spiderman etc, they still gave a generous sale 2 months after launch and within 12 months they could be got for under $20 on sale. It's just insane how good value playstation offers for full game purchases. Sony could be greedy and keep the prices high because those games sell at high prices.
I'm not reading all that, but at least Nintendo doesn't have in-house censors despoiling every third party release on the platform over a moral panic.

Did you all watch the Nintendo Direct about Super Nintendo World? My friend who is a Nintendo Fanboy said "As if Nintendo isn't already owning Sony in terms of revenue from Nintendo Switch alone. Once Super Nintendo World launches, Nintendo will take over the world and crush Sony."
He then asked the Sony Fanboys in our chat group "So where is Sony World?? I am waiting for Sony World". And then he laughed.

It's just incredible Nintendo release the same games over and over again yet their fans lap it up. I'm not surprised they're getting tired of it but at least most of them have a PlayStation or pc to keep them going between the long droughts.
PS2 is the best selling home console of all time.
As a Sony gamer, it seems to me Nintendo fans are like gamblers in a casino
Super easy but then we are all HERE for discussion so.....Vote with your wallet, don't like Nintendo? don't buy Nintendo products.

No it won't. Doubt it even gets close. You do realise the Switch is going to end up outselling the PS2.
You're best off just accepting it now, as the pain will be too much for you in four/five years time.

It’s very likely they will release an upgraded version in 2021: four years between the 3DS and new 3DS, and now four years since the Switch was released in 2017. It would also match with the release of MH Rise (the new 3DS was released alongside MH4U).It's not, nowhere near, unless they release a Super Switch has an upgrade to the Switch and seriously start diversifying their catalogue and be more serious about their AAAs.
