I'm a good 15 hours into a stealthy hacky run, and seeing some of those augs above from K.S v2.0 K.S v2.0 is giving me wood tbh. I've done nothing aug wise from the ripper doc, other then the first two story ones, and I didn't even realise how to customize your biochip.

I know what I'm doing when I jump on a little later.

I just found a talking gun, it's name is Skippy. :messenger_neutral:

How do you guys deal with the enemies that dodge bullets Matrix style? Is there a specific hack to shut them down?

I've just been knocking them down with grenades then unloading into their head with my buffed-up hand cannon crits, but having to maintain a good supply of grenades just in case is getting expensive / time consuming.
they can't avoid shotgun shells :)

Game crashed twice so far, but apart from the occasional floating car or clipping NPC it's been alright. But damn those enemy netrunners setting me on fire every few seconds are annoying, I couldn't help myself but dismember them in gruesome fashion with my Katana.

I am pretty certain that those who ’finished’ the game in 15-20 hours only focused on the 3 main quests while using fast travel.

So far I have experienced more jank and crashes in Valhalla on Series X. Have had 1 crash in 25 hours now.

I didn't say any shit like that, wtf, I'm just wondering if I'll reach a point in the game where that meme suddenly clicks and ruins something. I can't fucking tell, it's an obtuse meme that makes no sense to me, fuck off.

no it was not a spoiler at all, it's hilarious and you'll know it when you get there. But seeing now the post has been deleted - nice job reporting it as one officer.

btw https://www.reddit.com/r/cyberpunkgame/ is daily comedy gold right now

I paid Royce with the credchip from Meredith Stout. I figured that it was bugged with something after she was adamant about going this route and it was. Fought my way through to fight Royce as a boss at the end.

Same route I took. Tbh my V is a bit weedy still so I took what I thought would be a low-danger approach to avoid getting murdered, this proved not to be as low-danger as I expected.

i still can't fucking win that stupid fight in kabuki and they charge $500 for every attempt. i don't have that kinda money so i've been reloading my save. fucking infuriating. i've tried leveling up streetbrawller stats.

is it just me or is the radio in cars really quiet? i've tried adjusting volume levels but everything drowns it out and even if i have everything else down i need to turn my speakers up a lot. just sounds completely muffled.

This game really feels like a mix between Deus Ex, Fallout, Witcher 3 and a bit of GTA. The main story and main side quests are Witcher 3 quality, then you have the driving and the TV channels and the radio stations like GTA, and then you have the open-world side of things, which feels like a lot like a Fallout game or the hubs in the Deus Ex games.

In a way, you can understand why some people didn't get what they were expecting. I never expected this game to remind me of Fallout either (although maybe I should have because it is the king of first-person open-world rpgs, after all). People wanted future GTA, but this is game where, when you're not playing the main missions, you're exploring and choosing your approach and hacking terminals and reading shards and experiencing brief little stories in the world.

A couple of questions for who already finished the main quest.

I encountered the "point of no return", which I guess means that I'm close to the end. If I go through, would I be able to finish all the other side quests I got hanging at the moment? (some of them I will regardless before going through with the end, but asking about the less important ones)
How much playing time between the point of no return and the actual end of the game?

I took for granted that I could go to a barber shop or a tattoo studio, or maybe do some makeup by the bathroom mirror... Apparently not!!

What have they been doing all these years? Unacceptable that this is not in the base game. What happened to CDPR? I remember playing Witcher 2 on release and it was a great experience. Now I just think they took a dive in too deep waters.

I saw a person say the game is better if you mainline the main quest..... this one of the worst takes I seen. The side-quests in this game can be showcase levels for other games.
do they?
i'm mostly at the start but can't say i found any worthwhile ones..
the most memorable thing was that guy that became one with his twin

A name isn't a spoiler with zero context.

That meme wasn't a spoiler.

It's not even something that if he described in great detail could be considered a spoiler.

I legit didn't get it, dude, I don't even know what you mean by it just being a name. It's not a big deal, I didn't report you, I was just concerned I was getting spoiled, if you say I'm not I can take your word for it.

I love how gaf is pretty happy with this game because people didnt expect some overhyhyped messiah of gaming here, meantime cyberpunk subreddit is fucking ripping this game apart lol
eh, i'm disappointed in the game tbh, i expected a deep rpg and i didn't get it, but the game it's still pretty fun, just doesn't do, at least thus far, any particularly brilliantly, it's a jack of all trades, master of none

Man, I really love this game and all it's atmosphere etc. I can also see great potential customisation of skills etc....

But this game at least 1 year too early.

The balancing and ai needs a lot of fine tuning, it dampens what is actually a great system. There's so many details, but most of them seem unfinished/unpolished. All this shareholders pressure to release early are ruining what is essentially a great game.

i cant imagine wanting to ignore side content after the entire world fell all over themselves for Witcher III for that very reason. one of the well known things about that game was that the side content is just as good and often better than the main story. plus, the more side stuff you do, the better of an ending you can get, apparently.
Ikr. But it's been a long time since witcher 3 and I am conditioned back to treating side quests like mediocre badly written time kill. Which is why I made a mistake yesterday in one of the side missions. Apparently that side missions had 3 endings... And I went with the most boring, straight forward one because I underestimated it.

How do cars work? Do you have to care about the one you have or it's more of gta system where you just take something from the street later ?

Managing to get 40-50 fps on an i5 4 cores. I can't imagine playing a RPG shooter at 30fps tbh.
Nice pic.
What are your other specs and settings?
I'm running an i5 4670k w/ 1660ti.
I am waiting for some more ram.
I can play on high, but don't mind the visuals and frame rate increase with some medium settings.

So gigs are basically just Monster Contracts, right?

And side missions are more fleshed out than gigs?

More or less. Even the gigs - basically the third tier of quests - can be quite good. The one I just did had me going after two guys running a snuff braindance business to retrieve a BD for a client. Really dark stuff. And it was a proper quest with a mini-level to get through, dialogue and unique npcs.

The twins? Yeah I peaced out of the ring for a while. I'm playing on very hard. Good to know there are challenges waiting.

It's still stable after over 4 hours on PRO with 1.04, that's a win. One area I wasn't even able to look at was east towards Japan town or south towards the city center without massive frame drops and texture pop in, I hope this Hot fix isn't just for people in the Watson portion and it gets fucked again like the start of the game was optimized for the first four hours and then it fell apart after a certain mission.

Pretty sure I'm gonna be meeting Keanu very soon.

I feel sorry for the reviewers that had to rush through this.

The side quests and characters are absolutely W3 tier.

I don't, critics have no integrity, if they did they wouldn't review for clicks they'd review to inform the gaming populace. Trying to review a game prior to release is why reviews are so goddamn irrelevant, it's why people go to Youtube for critical analysis from people who don't rush their reviews or at the very least ADMIT they're just giving early impressions. Critics are a farce in the game industry.
