Time to get cucked by space child again!
But is your face tired?I am so fucking tired of Logo only announcement trailers
I expect them to rework mass effect 1 combat and planet scavenging. The wording is very vague. I hope it's running on a new engine. That description is baffling.
"We're not just going to give you a simple remake of the original games"
"We will do everything we can to modernize the gaming experience"
"Mass Effect Legendary Edition is a fully remastered and enhanced 4K Ultra HD version"
So, rather than a "simple" remake, it's remasters - which is a LOT more simple than actually remaking the game - yet at the same time they're doing "everything they can" to modernize the experience... ...by which they mean just upressing it and slapping some textures on.
What the fuck? I mean, I expected it, but what's going on with that marketing?
Current gen? I genuinely don't understand how a publisher can be so shortsighted.
Newsflash idiots, come Spring, the hardcore gaming audience who will snap this up en masse will have moved on to PS5 and XSX.
How much you wanna bet this scene gets "edited"?
Yeah I reckon they outsourced the texture work as cheaply as possible and used mod tier addons to add controller support etc, still, having controller integration out the box on PC would be cool. Was kind of hoping that they were going to integrate all the gameplay for one seamless experience. Or at the very least touch things up and standardize the way that Uncharted Collection did.
Hey, don't spoil it!Can't wait to go up against mecha-squidley-didley again.
Kingdom of Amalur remaster we knew about 60fps , 1 week before of releasingI would assume they would say 60 fps if it was though wouldn't they?
You'd think the Swtich would be a no-brainer, these games aren't exactly gfx powerhouses anymore, even with texture touch-ups etc, would be a pretty sweet deal to get the whole trilogy on a portable, install footprint size might be an issue though?ctrl+F “Switch”
nevermind. I love these games but I’ve got toddlers, if i can’t carry it with me and start/stop at a moment’s notice I’ll never finish it.

There's little reason to still use UE3. I don't think it's that hard to port it to a newer Unreal Engine version, like what Gears 5 uses. UE3 is still too outdated. The lighting in those screenshots is sub-par.Just as a reminder of what you can do with UE3 if you really, really try to put as much effort into it as humanly possible.
And that's an open world game, where as ME games had pretty much compact and linear maps with a few bigger ones here and there. Will see if these remasters can compare with this game.Batman: Arkham Knight, obviously....
P.S. Sorry for 1080p screens, don't have the time to make 5K ones to make this game really shine.
True, fingers crossed I'm wrongKingdom of Amalur remaster we knew about 60fps , 1 week before of releasing
It is super easy to release the game with an unlocked framerate/res mode though, so the PS5 and XSX will run the game at 4k/60 at least.
I amIs anyone who's played all the games and major dlcs gonna be double dipping?
Sure... the ending wasn't great... but was an amazing ride and story. Is anyone who's played all the games and major dlcs gonna be double dipping?

Nope, these kind of games are one and done for me; stuck around for the mp in me3.Is anyone who's played all the games and major dlcs gonna be double dipping?
For several months now, our dedicated team at BioWare has been working to update the textures, shaders, graphics effects and technical features of our three amazing games.
We're not just going to give you a simple remake of the original games. We will do everything we can to modernize the gaming experience for which the Mass Effect saga is famous, so longtime fans and new players can experience original content in a whole new light. It is truly incredible to see the adventures of Commander Shepard come to life in higher resolution, with increased frame rates and jaw-dropping visual enhancements.
As game developers, we always want our games to transcend their original platforms. This opportunity to remaster the original trilogy means that the fruits of our labor over more than a decade will be able to endure and be experienced by players around the world in an even better form. Mass Effect Legendary Edition is a fully remastered and enhanced 4K Ultra HD version that includes all core single player content and DLC from Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3, as well as weapons, armor and promo packs! Available in spring 2021 on Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC, it will also offer backward compatibility and specific optimizations for Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5.
We will reveal more to you early next year!
In short:
- Fully remastered and enhanced in 4K
- New textures, shaders, effects and more
- All the DLC for all 3 games are included
- Backward compatibility with PS5 & SEX with enhancements
- Spring 2021
- Frosbite Engine (?)
"I'm Commander Shepard and this is my favorite remaster "
Doubt that would happen, some prefer one part more than the others...I hope they revamp in a way that you can play all three games as one, giant story rather than three individual games. Now that would be epic.
Roses are red
They said improved framerate so I'd imagine that means 60fps. No reason it shouldn't be especially on PS5/XsX.Boo on the lack of mp and no 60 fps.
Yay on everything else
Just make the citadel DLC after the final mission.Hey Bioware... If you're reading this... There is one way you can immediately fix the ending, while leaving the games' stories exactly the same. How?
You add a scene at the end of Shepard waking up right next to the Beacon in ME1. It was all a vision of what is to come, and none of it happened yet.
